Coca-Cola: Coke is it!

A 30-second spot for Coke and just three lines and that's it all takes for a star to be born. Light years from Neo and John Wick, Keanu Reeves stars as a biker who receives an enthusiastic support from his dad and coach during a bike race. I don't want to spoil such a short commercial but it all ends with a Coke being handed at the young man. Simple, safe and it doesn't go wrong. Today's audiences embrace it as a spectacle of sorts since young Keanu before fame was already displaying a great presence on screen.

Most recently as he was promoting one of the movies from John Wick franchise on the James Corden program, Reeves told several behind the scenes stories about shooting the commercial. It took three weeks of shooting with many changes made along the way, and despite the summer vibes and atmosphere they shot it during winter, with the crowd cheering time and again and the bikers competing voraciously.

It's a pity that it's too quick of a promo, but it's the standard type of ad by most companies unless if the brand is promoting for a SuperBowl kind of event where the commercials go to extreme lenghts and are very impressive and memorable to watch. Compared with the more artistic and more daring commercials of recent years, this is kinda corny yet it's lots of fun to see Reeves early acting (so young), the nostalgic feels from the 1980's and all. It's not as a charming as the classic polar bears ad but it's still a highly memorable moment from Coca-Cola. Thumbs way up. 8/10.

Difficult to say to much except a nice scent of nostalgia. A very short commercial, a young Keanu Reeves, a bike race and an ambitious racer to the finish. And the support of his father after the intense effort.

The result - just nostalgic , seductive and good feeling seed.

Not being fan of Coca Cola, I love - indeed, sinfull guiltits commercials. And Keanu, off course and zthis energetic, smart crafted short video , after decades, is more than nice option for relive the air of lost time.

In short, just beautiful and good explanation for meritory succes of Keanu across decades. So, see it ! Again. Obvious more than Coke but nice first step of Keanu. -
