On a peaceful farm when a space pod crashes down onto Earth into a farmer's marijuana patch. Piccolo is interrupted by the alien, he explains to Goku that he is actually part of an alien race called the Saiyans and that they are brothers.

Goku and Piccolo catch up to the alien who kidnap his son Gohan. The two put their differences aside and make an effort to team up to save him.

The Z Fighters learn about an approaching threat and begin to train. Meanwhile, Goku enters the afterlife and prepares to run across the perilous Snake Way.

The Z Warriors continue their training for the upcoming Saiyan Threat while Goku runs across Snake Way.

Goku arrives on King Kai's planet and begins his training. Meanwhile, Vegeta and Nappa are imprisoned on Arlia and make new friends.
