It's impossible to write a spoiler for this movie as you see the whole plot unfold in the trailer. A man is diagnosed with a terminal illness, then recovers, and now he has to make good on his promises to his God, Hare Krishna or whatever.
There isn't a solid, adult joke in the trailer, so that bodes poorly for the rest of the project. This will appeal to people who believe that there is a higher power out there that gives two cents about their sad little lives grasping for wisdom in a sorry book written thousands of years ago by flea-ridden cave dwellers. If that sounds like you, this is the movie for you. If you read other types of books that explore the infinite possibilities of the human mind, don't even bother watching the trailer for "Honest to God."

I hope everyone who watches "Honest To God" enjoys this movie as I did. It takes you through the twists and turns of The main character Daniel who must face his faith and his own mortality. It was such a joy to see the finished film from the pages of Robert Alaniz's well written script! "Honest To God" is very funny and poignant at the same time with a message of life lessons that we all can learn from in Daniels journey!
In his latest and perhaps final film, director Robert Alanaiz has given audience a gem of a movie.
A suburb cast delivers a sensitive and thoughtful screenplay that ponders the question: If you thought you had a short time to live, how would you live your final days on earth?
Not to be ignored is the great supporting cast that adds humor and insight to the story which includes a great performance by Steve Parks as Benji and two actors who add comic relief as members of the Latter Day Saints organization.
A shot out should also go to the fine cast of extras who helped round out the fine production..
If this indeed Robert Alaniz final at-bat in the director's chair - he certainly went out with a home run !

"Honest to God" brilliantly combines such a serious subject matter as death with the just the right balance of comedy - painting a fun yet beautifully storied work of art that is relatable to all humanity.

What a surprise! I watched this film by chance, even if I know that nothing happens by chance and in fact it was even this time in this way. I had to learn something that I didn't know or I forgot. Anyway I started watching this movie and I immediately liked the characters, so I went on. Some good humor, intelligent, very good acting, a brilliant dialogue pushed me to go on until the end. It was absolutely a great movie! I loved it!
I have to say that I was never disappointed and I spent almost a couple of hours in full entertainment.
Probably this movie didn't cost much, but surely it's worth to be seen.
I don't want to say anything more, because everyone has to see this movie without knowing what it is about. I had the good chance to watch it without knowing anything about it and I'm happy for that, because otherwise the surprise would have been ruined.
Hope that you'll enjoy it as I did.

Honest to God is such an amazing movie. It's a wonderful movie made with such a great message behind the laughs. There are sometimes in your life God may need more of your attention and bring you to him in ways he feels fit.
I love Christian movies. This movie is funny and takes you on a journey of twist and turns. The writing is so good and the plot is awesome. Like the poster says "Dying to be Good". You will walk away with more faith in God. This is a true story. Definitely a 10. Please watch the movie.

This was very funny. I love how God can intervene in times of need & take a "non believer" & transform their heart. Praying more wonderful messages like this comedy can open peoples heart to God. Great job everyone 🙌🙏🏻👏. Rose LaRue.

Can you use and abuse God in a funny way? Yes, apparently you can, because I chuckled throughout. The writing was so clever, and the actors wore their characters like comfortable much loved clothing.
Casting was spot on. Some of my favorites were the Latter Day Saints missionaries and Anita, the grandmother. So funny! This one gets all my stars.
