Set somewhere around the time of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, the story takes place in and around the islands of the Caribbean as the player takes on the role of pirate who unwittingly becomes involved with the notorious Captain Jack Sparrow. Captain Jack is being pursued by the villainous and cursed pirate Jolly Roger, who has raised an army of undead as well as a navy of sunken ships in his quest for revenge. Endeavoring not to keep his skin, Jack calls upon the player to help defeat this supernatural menace. In Chapter 1, the player must gather Jack's old crew mates and with help from Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann, free the Black Pearl from a secret Royal Navy base.—Eliza Creststeel
