Interesting seeing Footballer, Eric Cantona as the protagonist solving crimes. I have enjoyed watching this and very much so, the French small villages and countryside. Same format, he has taken a leave of absence from the Paris police to delve more deeply into unsolved crimes of kidnappings, disappearances and murders.

He lives off the land and travels in his camper van with his dog Emy.

For Season 2, I have just started and a change of protagonist:

After four episodes Cantona decided to leave the show. The Thomas Bareski character is replaced by the very similar Yann Kandisky (Bruno Debrandt). The dialogue in the episode is littered with exposition as the writers try to pull everything back together. What they do isn't unsuccessful as a piece of drama but it doesn't have quite the same feel as its predecessor, season 1. But after the surprise of no more Eric Cantona, and being familiar with Bruno Debrandt, who I very much enjoy, by S2 E2, I am really engaged and thoroughly enjoying.

Also love the change of pace for the investigations of unsolved crimes and someone taking a timeout to continue investigations perspective.

Enjoyable easy watch.

Unpredictable character and stories. Better (for me) Masha and the Bear.
