If you can't find anything better, then this series is not a complete waste of you time. I'm now in the second season. Can't really remember much of the first. The story is simple and adequately told, without fussing around. This however is also the down side; no surprises, no interesting or unexpected plot twists. Just simple and straightforward crime with a plot hole here and there. The acting and dialogues are average at best and for some charaters below average. The characters remain very superficial. Dialogues may feel forced and not well acted out. The whole atmosphere breaths neutrality, contrary to what I love about most of the French and Scandinavian crime series. You won't get hooked, nor will you probably irritated. Doable as an in-between while waiting for something better.
The people leaving negative reviews are either children with the attention spans of flies, or morons too stupid to read subtitles. It's very well written, acted, and directed.
Enjoyable show so far, still in progress. Acting is very good overall: generally understated performances. Interesting to see a show from Luxembourg. Good use of comedic moments in early episodes, which add variety/interest.
Obviously, you have to ALWAYS watch a show or movie in its original language and turn on subtitles if you want to appreciate whatever it has to offer.
I imagine most of the people complaining about bad acting are watching a dubbed version. Either that, or the only kind of "good acting" they are aware of is typical, over-the-top American histrionics. If that's what you like, then why not stick to watching only American shows.
One unexpected bonus is that each episode is only a half-hour.
Just finished the series. Didn't understand the ending, but oh, well. Not the first time that has happened!

Great acting, tight editing, sharp dialogue and excellent use of locations make this 12 episode (less than half hour each) series a really engaging surprise even if the territory is not entirely original. Where a number of other French series exploring similar plots (missing girl/s in a remote village) seem to go immediately OTT on Gallic mysticism and generally grotesque village carry-on, the mood here is determinedly low-key and down-beat (similar to the excellent Belgian series The Break), making it one of the best and most credible cop/detective shows currently available on Netflix (in Ireland, at least). Well worth a look
Made a change from Nordic and French shows that we watch a lot of. Not quite up there with the very best, but good none the less. Decent story, acting and production.
