It's also about 47 and many more men, so don't hold your breath to see the few outstanding women to take over the show. Its comedy derives from the single factor that honor loving proud samurais rarely had a clue about finances until their wallets bit them in the butt. You've already seen the vengeance play out in some other iteration of this event, this is not a possible tale of what happened, but how it was made possible, and an entertaining one at that, as long as you're not stuck waiting for swords to clash and heads to roll.
