I surprisingly liked this one. At first I thought it was too slow..but keep watching..it gets better more towards the end...plot twist u didn't see coming...
This movie is the equivalent of watching the Super Bowl for 2 hours & you find out those aren't really NFL players but scrubs.
I hate movies that lie to you the entire movie & expect you to believe it, and what teenager/adult wouldn't know that these girls are not teens? The only actor close to a teenager was the Miles character who looks young & is 20, the 3 other 'teenagers' are 26/27, it's just pathetic what Hollywood expects us to believe.
What scam artists keep the acting going even when alone with themselves? Give me a break, they'd be laughing it up about how they've fooled everyone. They obviously ran out of money or time IMO & just threw together a weak ending.
The Staci character was so annoying & typical for Hollywood these days, uppity, bossy, wears a feminista shirt & we're supposed to be happy for this trash at the end. Automatic loss of 5 points for every movie with a character like this.

The movie seemed to move very slow to me, even though it's not that long.
It's really not a horror movie, except for the few poltergeist-like things that happen with inanimate objects, and honestly those are really the only interesting scenes.
Why they decided to make the women, who are obviously in their mid-twenties, be high school teenagers is beyond me. They never go to school nor does that really play into the plot at all.
The plot twist in the last 5 minutes is weird. I can't decide if it makes the movie better or worse. It's definitely taken too far. The 'twist' is ok, but revealing how the characters really related to each other just seemed too much.

A grieving man (John Littlefield) and his two girls (Alyson Gorske & Jessica Chancellor) move to a town in Northern California where he purchased an incredible mansion at a curiously low price. When strange things start happening, they hear rumors of the manor's infamous past. Jasmine Waltz is on hand as the sultry realtor while Eric Roberts plays an amiable neighbor.
"616 Wilford Lane" (2021) has the setting of "Glass House: The Good Mother" (2006), an awesome mansion in sunny California, but with an altogether different story, à la spooky goings-on in the manner of M. Night Shyamalan mixed with "The Amityville Horror" (1979/2005). There's a creepy element that goes back to the "Amelia" episode of "Trilogy of Terror" (1975), just don't expect a crazy Zuni doll.
The flick works well as is, but the creators insisted on tacking on an ending that I don't want to say too much about. It can still be enjoyed yet the "creative" climax lowers my grade. It just wasn't needed. I should add that my wife was impressed by the twist.
The three key women are a highlight with Jessica standing out.
The movie runs 1 hour, 25 minutes, and was shot in California, presumably Auburn, which is 25-30 miles northeast of Sacramento in Northern Cal.

I did not go in to this with much expectations. The movie started out promisingly (when there was no dialogue), but once the characters started talking, it went downhill. It quickly became apparent that this would be a poorly produced fare with mediocre script and acting. The horror component was mild, and would definitely disappoint hardcore horror fans. At this point, the movie deserved a 3 rating.
What was interesting however, were the couple of twists towards the end of the movie. I found them refreshing as they were totally unexpected given the flow of the movie. You typically have a sense of what is going to happen in such movies, so these twists were welcome. So I am bumping the rating to 5.
Is it a must see? Probably not. But it definitely isn't the worst option available to watch out there.
