Neram Vandhachu

One of the early movies of Karthik and Radha both . Its a pleasure watching them . Karthik with a pencil thin moustache is a pleasure to watch ( as always) as a journolist still trying to get a career . He lives in a small house always missing on rent . The landlady has a soft spot for him and gives him left overs . He rides a cycle and has a few friends who hang on and pile on to him all the time . Radha is a very rich girl. Her strict father has very strict rules and also gets her engaged to his friend's son without asking her . Tired of all this , she takes the help of her maid Gandhimathi and runs away . Gandhi mathi shines in her small role . Even then she is likeable as a scared timid maid . On the road , an unsure Radha is chased by some goons and Karthik helps her and takes her in his house . Radha manages with just one sari and sure enough , both fall for each other. A few duets and romantic sequences follow . Very soon her father finds out and they come to get Radha. Both run away and try to hide in Silk Smita's house . In a very small role , she is a golden hearted girl friend of Radha's fiance. She gets killed by him while trying to protect the love birds . Finally Radha's father realises his mistake in getting her engaged to a villain . He had returned from jail but his father says that he had gone abroad . Finally a few fights later all becomes well. Both Karthik and Radha are likeable as awkward bumbling unsure lovers.
