After having watched this show on ABC with my little brother every school afternoon for the past month i can only say one thing....i love it! it makes my afternoon complete being able to sit down and watch a thoroughly light-hearted children's show without feeling the need to criticize particular characteristics which would - in any other circumstance - be considered the result of amateur directing and/or mediocre acting.
The show's setting and choice of young cast lend towards the obvious knowledge that this show is first and foremost targeted towards children, an audience who will not respond and acknowledge the grandeur of elaborate set designs and a Hollywood-style script. Instead the show achieves a very rare nostalgic feeling for the older audience and lets children watch a show that is....well....FUN!
I highly recommend it for anybody who watches TV to enjoy themselves and have a good time!!

Something to watch for the time it was made. I was pretty small when this came out and i loved it then. Unfortunately i couldn't watch it full but i loved rebecca and noahs chemistry... They were so cute together
Definitely todays kids and teen shows are more relevant to todays times, but for 90s and 2000s babies, the latest buzz was it...
Its more like a nostalgic recall for me then any intellectual or critical rumination.
Thanks to latest buzz for making this little girls days better
Secondly "homework date" memory is etched in my brain as i dreamed of calling a boy in the same...
well i couldnt to this date...

Normally I don't hate kid's shows, but this one is just terrible. The acting is wooden, the characters are all unlikeable, and the plot is not as interesting as the advertisements made it out to be. It may be just a kid's show, but not even kid's will enjoy it. My niece finds it extremely boring and unfunny.
The show has two huge flaws that make it practically unwatchable. The first, is the god-awful acting. I know they're inexperience kids and all, but come on, they can do way better. Their delivery is off, and the way they act, especially during the comedic scenes, is incredibly awkward. It seems they are trying to hard to make the dialogue funny, which is hard to do because of the horrible script.
The second flaw is the laugh track. We've all seen it in Disney shows before; a character does or says something funny, and you hear an audience laugh. The laugh track in this show, is completely overused and annoying. After practically every line of dialogue, you hear the audience laugh. I am beginning to doubt there is even a real audience, and that the laughing is prerecorded.
This show is a definite waste of time, and painfully over advertised. It's a show that simply isn't worth your time. 1/10 stars.

I managed to get my hands on advance screening copies for a number of episodes from this great new show, and I was really impressed with how quickly the show found its stride and developed into something truly extraordinary. This is what this country has been waiting for for a long time: a true sit com on a par with the best of its U.S. counterparts! Like all great shows aimed at young people, there are plenty of laughs here to keep the parents tuning in along with their kids. The cast is made up of some truly gifted young actors, and together they create an ensemble that brought to mind what the cast of Friends might have been like if they all met when they were in Junior High.
With respect to the show's writing, the dynamics between the characters--and the situations they all get themselves into--are consistently smart, engaging, and never seem to talk down to its young audience members. And somehow they manage to strike that delicate balance of sentiment and high jinx.
For my money, this show has more entertainment value packed into one frame than a whole season of Degrassi.

As a teenager, I wouldn't say i completely love this show. However, i don't think its as bad as a lot of people put it as. Yes, there are some things that could be changed but overall, it has potential. I mean, when i see a really good show, and look back to their first season.. the episodes are pretty lame, but eventually the seasons and episodes get better and better. This show just came out and i think its doing well.
As far as 'tips' go for the show, i would definitely suggest that they cut that recorded audience laugh after every line! Its good once in a while, but come on, you guys play it after lines that are not even funny. Another thing, & I'm going to be completely honest, but that one girl on the show who plays rebecca needs to take some better acting classes. Actually, a lot of the cast members do, but she's just.. the one that stands out the most. The girl who plays DJ, i think is the only one who can act, and the guy who plays Wilder isn't bad either. One more thing i would suggest, is adding a new character, and maybe adding a new twist to the next season.
I would also recommend to people who hate this show, and have only probably watched 5 min and shut it off.. try watching a few episodes before you judge the show, i guarantee a few of you may like it.. (depending on your age). I mean, its not something i watch on a daily basis, but i admit it is a good show, for kids that is.
