Mystique has a reputation for slow and tame softcore vids, but 'Mystical Journeys' is on another level all together. Boasts over two hours of content, but if your primary goal in buying or viewing one of these titles is to be turned on and aroused by pretty ladies getting naked frequently ... get ready for the pain train.
In a contest to crowd their latest model winner, 60 mins goes to interviews with all the ladies involved (Rebecca DiPietro, Jessica Difeo, Kay Sivilay, Victoria Anisova, Erin Nicole and Elizabeth Kelly). Sure BTS, photoshoot footage is thrown in, but it's hardly great seeing as how you aren't seeing them naked a ton. There's more wall to wall nudity in the optional slideshows.
For the main presentation it's a lot more talk, glimpses into their photoshoots being shot and lastly a few excursions with the models. "Banana Boat", "Iguana Farm", "Dolphins", "Giving Back" on route to the "Finals" where the winner is crowned. This last portion takes on a reality tv vibe, but still remains boring. This artsy "tasteful" package is far from titillating.
Having viewed a few Mystique releases previous to this, I naturally went into 'Mystical Journeys' with a certain mindset. Somehow they found a way to undercut my lowered expectations. This is a company or one man's vacation overseas with pretty models and you the consumer is asked to pick up the bill getting little in return. It's high rating perplexes me. Don't see how this could satisfy anyone.
