This 4-part series,broadcast ten years after the events it depicted,stands without rival as the most comprehensive and informative history of the 1982 Falklands War.Perhaps little-known outside Britain and Argentina,this three-month war was significant for many reasons,and the series covers every aspect of it,from the decades of indifference and neglect by British politicians,to the turbulent military regime which governed Argentina and sought to use the invasion to divert attention from problems at home,to the brave young servicemen of both sides who fought and died in the Falkland Islands and the seas surrounding them.
