Almost 5 years after its release, director Julian Gilbey went back into the editing room and assembled a prolonged version that offers more than 16 minutes of additional footage. The title Extreme Extended Edition is also fitting since it does deliver on both story enhancement and violence. Even though the film's theatrical runtime was close to 2 hours, the additional plot scenes are actually making an already good film better. Considering the brutality that was already on a high level, the number of extensions in that department are a little surprising, making the events even more tense.
