Out of all the Dreamworks shows on Nickelodeon, this one is definitely my favorite one. The Penguins of Madagascar is a really funny show with some great fast humor. For a nicktoon in the 2000s, it was really great. There are some differences from this to the original movie, but it doesn't distract from how great the show is. The characters are funny, the stories are interesting, and the comedy is gold. If you're interested in finding this show, I definitely recommend it. It's very funny and memorable. I think you and your kids will enjoy it.

I really think The Penguins and the Lemurs could be remembered in history on the same level with Tom&Jerry. So far, the show shows big promise...

It has all the important ingredients: a never-ending conflict, laughable characters doing the most unlikely things and most important, a real sense of humor.

Looking from this Tom&Jerry perspective, some of the action in the Penguins is similar, especially the "violent" action, but it's so different with different characters and settings.

I love it, and I hope it will keep up like this.

Now I will say I like the Madagascar movies, and one of the main reasons are the penguins. When I first heard of The Penguins of Madagascar, I was a little skeptical. Would it have a great concept, but not be funny or entertaining I wondered? After seeing the first episode, I became hooked to this show. It was so much better than my expectations, and I kind of prefer it to the movies. It does have a great concept, but it is not only funny, hilarious more like, but original as well.

The animation is crisp, clean and smooth, with lovely backgrounds and all the characters move convincingly. The music is great, the main theme is truly memorable and the background music is works really well without becoming obtrusive.

Not only that, the stories are very original and exciting, with the odd moral being introduced in a subtle sort of way. And I was so surprised at how much was fitted in in such a short running time without feeling lame, predictable or bloated. The humour also works superbly, not only in the hilarious dialogue but in the clever sight gags, and delivered at breakneck speed.

Then there are the characters, I have always had a love for penguins dating from the countless times I used to watch Pingu as a toddler, and Skipper, Kowalski, Private and Rico are zany characters with unique personalities and priceless actions such as Kowalski talking to his log like Star Trek. Aside from the penguins, my favourite character is King Julien, I just love the way he butchers the English language, and his dance moves and facial expressions. Plus the voice acting is perfect, the voice actors all do a stellar job bringing their characters' personalities across.

Overall, a wonderful show and a huge surprise. 10/10 Bethany Cox

It really deserves at least 8/10 Imdb, so I think it's underrated. Yeah, not all episodes are good but mostly it's amazing TV show not only for kids but for the whole family. Worth to watch it.

Yet another series I had to watch again as an adult to really enjoy. I've always been a huge fan of these penguins and the wacky shenanigans they get into. Actually since I first saw them in the first Madagascar movie.

I think The Penguins of Madagascar work perfectly as a series of short episodes because they are pretty quick and straight to the point dudes.

I'm not crazy about the animation and visuals. The coloring is a little flat and not very interesting. The animation is pretty good by early 2000s standards but there isn't any moments that make you go "wow". I still do like the choreography in many fight scenes. They use chain reactions very well and smoothly.

Voice acting is something that always seals the deal for me on a good show. Each character has a recognizeble voice, accent and/or a speech pattern. I like how they use accents in general in the Madagascar series. The most memorable cartoon characters have a unique voice that everyone recognizes. It like a trademark.

This series has simple and nice plots for each episode. Like I said before. The Penguins of Madagascar are not meant for the big screen (in my opinion). They work better as short missions in each episode. The plot structure in each episode is easy to follow, fun and many of them have plot twists which some of are very predictable (for adults). This doesn't take away from the fun though so it isn't a problem for me.

Character dynamics in this show are also fun. I like how the Penguins are very different from each other. Their dynamic doesn't get boring because there is always someone who doesn't agree or at least not immediately.

All in all, I love The Penguins of Madagascar and I always will. I miss these mofos and I wanna see them in action again. The 2014 movie was something but like I said before. Not meant for the big screen.
