This is my favorite Japanese show.
It's incredibly funny and the storyline is very exciting as well.
Definitely worth watching
hi there.4 me this TV series is the best i've seen once in a while.very good story, the ending was great.really touching and makes me wanna go back to high school.it is all about love, friendship, study, life, survival, passion and prejudice.i really like this story.really rocks.i recommend to all of you to watch this movie and i'll bet you will not regret or feel bored when watching it.how much do you wanna bet?just show me the money OK.haha...anyway to all of you out there, try to watch this movie and you will learn something about this life.the summary of this story is all of us must go to school to have a decent life in the future and yakuza will be yakuza forever.that's all for now.thanks and take care.
I wish I can give 100 rating this show is the by far the best comedy show you will see <3 i still can't believe this show ended so quickly : ( perfect show, there are some emotional moments in the last episodes which made me cry like a baby the acting is awesome by far the best acting The comedy is a mixture of situation comedy, that arises from the whole fact of 27-years old pretending to be a 17-years old, and slapstick. The episodes are reasonably well balanced, but some episodes are more drama oriented than others and all in all, the series is a pleasant experience despite I have clear gap in my understatement of Japanese culture.
I wish this show's rating can be anything higher than 10, its just so sooo good. It makes me relive my high school moments, all the moments in this show are the best. AND OMG HIS BABY FACES ARE JUST SO FUNNY AND ACCURATE, LIKE IT JUST CAPTURES THE ESSENCE SO CORRECTLY. Its a really emotional ride, the character development is so good and accurate, there are less good words to speak how loving this drama is. The opening and ending OSTs are really good. Please give this show a try, you won't regret a thing. This show is just so wholesome in all senses, it makes you feel so alive. AND AT LAST - THE YOUNG MASTER HAS ARRIVED.
My general knowledge about Japaese TV is rather limited, as in non existing. Sure enough, I know something about Japanese movies, mainly of Kurosawa's work, so I really had no expectations, when a friend suggested "My Boss, My Hero" to me. And despite some of the cultural references fly over my head, as a comedy oriented drama the series really was a pleasant surprise.
Sakaki Makio (Tomoya Nagase) is a bit slow, yet furiously strong member of Yakuza crime family, that his father is leading with a firm hand. After Makio blunders a huge deal his father decides to throw his 27-years old son back in high school to get some wisdom is his head. So from that forward Makio must pretend to be a 17-years old and study, while he tries to balance between his other duties as an upcoming third boss of the family.
