Coachella is known for hosting some of the biggest headliners for music festivals, but they also find room for more unique acts. This year, Yo Gabba Gabba!, the band from the titular children’s show, performed at the Mojave Tent, and brought on a slew of guests, including “Weird Al” Yankovic for his debut performance at the Indio festival.

“Weird Al” joined Ygg! for their final song, a cover of The Muppets’ “Rainbow Connection” which received a roar of applause at its end from the crowd. “Weird Al” wasn’t the only guest for the cover though: Portugal the Man., Thundercat, and Paul Williams, who co-wrote the 1978 song made an appearance, too.

Coachella 2025 will livestream many of its sets from both weekend one and weekend two across YouTube and Coachella’s app.

Viewers can choose from seven live feeds of Coachella stages, with the option to stream up to four performances simultaneously in a 4×4 grid. The livestream will begin daily at 4:00 p.m. Pt / 7:00 p.m. Et, with the fun officially kicking off Friday, April 11th.

“I’m So Happy to Be Little” will appear in Episode 3 of Yo Gabba GabbaLand! Season 1. In a statement, The Linda Lindas expressed excitement for their appearance on a show they grew up watching.

Season 4 of the Gary Oldman-led espionage drama “Slow Horses” will return to Apple TV+ Sept. 4 with a two-episode premiere. Based on the novel “Spook Street” by Mick Herron, the series follows Oldman as Jackson Lamb, a pessimistic intelligence agent who must lead M15’s dumping ground department known as Slough House after a career-ending incident.

Per an official logline, the new season “opens with a bombing that detonates personal secrets, rocking the already unstable foundations of Slough House.”

“Slow Horses” is adapted for television by Will Smith (“Veep”) and produced by See-Saw Films. Executive producers include Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Jane Robertson, Julian Stevens, Douglas Urbanski, Gail Mutrux, Graham Yost and Smith. Per Broadway World, a first look has also been revealed at the new host of the show. Formerly hosted by DJ Lance Rock (Lance Robertson), the revival is hosted by Kammy Kam, portrayed by 12-year-old actor Kamryn Smith. The new Yo Gabba Gabba! also brings back all five of the original show's characters with the original voice actors reprising their roles, including Muno (Adam Deibert), Foofa (Emma Penrose), Plex (Christian Jacobs), Brobee (Amos Watene), and Toodie (Erin Pearce). The new series brings back original characters Brobee, Foofa, Muno, Toodee and Plex and also introduces a new host: Kammy Kam, played by 12-year-old Kamryn Smith. Adult Swim, the network behind Rick and Morty, announced it is severing ties with the series’ co-creator, Justin Roiland.

The decision comes weeks after it was reported that Roiland faces domestic violence charges in connection with a 2020 incident.

Roiland pleaded not guilty to both charges in October 2020, according to Orange County Superior records.

“Adult Swim has ended its association with Justin Roiland,” a spokesperson said in a statement on Tuesday (24 January), per The Hollywood Reporter.

The Independent has contacted Roiland’s representatives for comment.

A criminal complaint seen by NBC News reportedly showed Roiland charged with one felony count of domestic battery with corporal injury and one count of false imprisonment by menace, violence, fraud and/or deceit. The charges were filed by a woman Roiland had apparently been dating at the time.

Roiland’s attorney T Edward Welbourn previously said that media coverage of the case has been “inaccurate”.

Updated: Variety reports that Justin Roiland, co-creator and star of Adult Swim’s animated science-fiction sitcom “Rick and Morty” is currently “facing felony charges related to a 2020 incident of alleged domestic violence.” The outlet reports that Roiland was charged in Orange County, California on “one felony count of domestic battery with corporal injury and one felony count of false imprisonment by menace, violence, fraud and/or deceit.”

The charges date to 2020 and an alleged incident that occurred “on or around January 19, 2020, against an unnamed Jane Doe who was dating Roiland at the time.” The outlet reports that Roiland was previously released on a 50,000 bond on August 13, 2020, and was arraigned on October 14, 2020. Roiland pleaded not guilty in 2020, and appeared in court on January 12, 2023 for a pre-trial hearing. A trial date has not yet been set.

Odds are that most Playlist readers are not avid “Yo Gabba Gabba!” watchers. Don't believe everything you hear. Biz Markie is still alive despite online rumors that the rapper had died, but he's still "under medical care" for undisclosed reasons. Markie, who's sometimes referred to as the "Clown Prince of Hip Hop," was hospitalized for complications with Type II diabetes twice in 2020. There were recently rumors spreading on social media that Markie has since died, but his manager Jenni Izumi said in a statement on Thursday morning that this isn't the case.

"Biz is still under medical care, surrounded by professionals who are working hard to provide the best healthcare possible," Izumi said. "Biz's wife and family are touched by the outpouring of love and admiration from his friends, peers and fans alike. Makeup and special effects artist Cleve Hall, whose work included Ghoulises, Twisted Nightmare and Book of Fire, has died. Hall’s publicist, Mike Arnold confirmed the artist’s death to Deadline. He died Wednesday from a heart attack at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was 61.

His daughter, Constance Hall, announced his death and launched a Go Fund Me to raise funds for burial costs.

Biz, aka Marcel Theo Hall, has not been on his Sirius Xm show Rock The Bells or on social media in over six months. Back in July, it was rumored that the 56-year old rapper had been in the hospital for several weeks due to a serious illness, though it was reportedly not Covid-19. The news had people asking for answers, though not a lot of information was made available. Biz's management said that he was "not in a coma" back in September, but no other information about his health was provided.
