Bunny acting is awesome in this movie. One of the biggest block buster in South India.

After industry hit Pokiri, Puri Jagannath directs Desamudru starring Allu Arjun and Hansika. Hansika who used to be a child artist in films like Koi mil gaya makes her debut as lead actress in Desamudru. I am big fan of Allu Arjun and he gives we fans an absolute treat. Though there is not much to show his acting, he shines in dances and fights with lot of energy and style. He sported a six pack body in this film and became the first hero in Telugu to sport a six pack. Hansika looked beautiful. Ali comedy entertains. Chakri songs are foot tapping. Direction is racy. One drawback is the last two fights in the film was copied from The Protector. Also the whole movie lacked emotions. Action scenes don't have any emotions, we don't get emotionally connected towards any character. Bad guys are just bad guys. Hence, it turns into a film which you watch, enjoy and forget.

On the whole, Desamudru is an absolute treat for Allu Arjun fans.

Traditional tollywood introduction of the hero with action scene, hero falling in first-sight-love with the heroine... the cute heroine who is not interested etc.... nothing great but just nice timepass with the first half. Its the second half that is disappointing. Hero trying to save his girl from their relatives... Lots of fights..actions.. and finally we know what happens. :) So the story goes like this: Hero who works in Maa TV, saves someone and is afraid that villains will hack him and his friends to death. so he goes to Kullu manali to shoot a travelogue. He sees Hansika (isn't she beautiful :)) and falls in love immediately only to come to know that she is a sanyasin.. sigh... then the story revolves under how he changes her heart and finally is about to get her to Hyd. Sigh. The villains kidnap her.. and the hero comes to know why she became a sanyasin. {Pity he didn't want to know the reasons before that}. He comes back to Hyd with one mission to save her. How he does that forms the crux of the second half of the movie.

There is supposed to be a parallel comedy track of Ali and Kovai sarala but that doesn't invoke much laughter. Allu arjun does a good job and Hansika not only looks damn pretty, but does act naturally. Disappointment is with so many action scenes which weren't warranted.

In this film, Allu Arjun plays a ruffian with problematic personality traits who continually harass and stalks a lady monk against her wish, and all of that is passed off as his courting process because apparently, he loves her. He behaves like a borderline toxic person who forces his adulation on her whenever he gets a chance, and the worst part, she falls for her and agrees to marry her. I mean what the hell were the screenwriters smoking while writing this? The rest of the screenplay is as inept as its romantic track. This film is a template mass film, but it doesn't even follow the template properly. The 1 star is only for Ali, who provides some comic relief amid this headache of a movie.

Stay as far away from this as possible.
