Wonderful short film. It should be developed into a feature or series. Fiona has put together a real heart tugging circle of characters. I want to see more. The actors, the camera work, the timing, the edit, the music all splendid. The cast never missed a beat. Such truthful performances. Perfect casting. Fiona's discovery should be further milked. The choices made every step of the way show signs of brilliant team work. The slick camera work never calls attention to itself. It is elegant. Lovely crisp imagery. Vivid. Every shot showed creativity and mastery over the art of directing. Signs of a truly talented film maker. Very impressed.

It had been a while I hadn't seen any short film with a gay content that I liked, but luckily "Cosa Bella" came to my hands and I actually loved it!. It's great to see characters that are realistic and not stereotypes. Both protagonists are great, and specially the actress Alexie Gilmore who plays Belle. I recommend "Cosa Bella" to anybody that has ever fallen in love with the wrong person, to anybody that has fallen in love with the right person but in the wrong time, to anybody that has fallen in love with the right person at the right time but have not been corresponded, and..........to everybody, because sooner or later you'll end up surrendering to love. Don't run..., don't hide..., Love Will Get You! :)
Cosa Bella is, as the title suggests, very beautiful, indeed! It is a sensitive, bitter-sweet short about the psychological and emotional struggles that two lovers face at a turning point in their relationship. Although the source of the primary dilemma (commitment) is very familiar to any viewer, how it gets played out is quite unique, poignant, and touching. How can a person, at one moment, declare her true love for her lover and fight for the relationship with all that she has and, at the next moment, be dancing and flirting with some random person or other on the dance floor, all the while ignoring her lover? If you'd like to know, please watch Cosa Bella! Fiona MacKenzie's writing and directing are beyond reproach and she produced the entire movie for a fraction of what its quality would suggest. All of the actors are tops (the two leads also appeared in 'The Devil Wears Prada'). I give this short my highest recommendation! What are you waiting for? Go see Cosa Bella!!

I don't know what's about this film, perhaps' the girls or the photography, the whole story, how it's filmed, but I just love it.
I can't stop watching it and every time I find something new to watch.
I LOVE short films, because I do believe you can tell a story in a few minutes, but this one takes that to the extreme.
And it's not just one thing -yes, the girls are awesome-, it's the whole thing.
It's been filmed in NY -or pretends to be there-. I don't know why, most of the American movies I like happens in NY.
I can just tell you one thing about this movie: If you haven't watched it yet, DO IT KNOW, you'll love it.
It's Just lovely!

I felt I had to write this review, simply because everyone who wrote one so far absolutely LOVED the movie. But why? I will say this, Cosa Bella really looks very good. It looks like a big Hollywood movie (and I mean that as a compliment for a change) and it has cool camera work and editing and music (Sia's "Breathe Me" is in there). And yet, the whole story looks like it was cut out of a feature film. It doesn't seem like a short film - it seems like a work in progress. Which is such a shame! If this were a feature film, one that lets you actually get close to the characters, take part in their development, and then still have the same scenes with the same great music and great camera work and dialog, it would probably be excellent. I would love it. I would feel with the characters, laugh with them, cry with them, root for them. But this way, the film is just a sad (albeit good-looking) reminder of what could've been.
Having said that, it certainly seems like Fiona MacKenzie is going to do great things in the future.
