Dolly: Oh gawd, no' yous two again...

Dolly: You got married late, didn't you, Margrit?
Magrit: No' late enough!

[after doing a dramatic tango in front of the whole room]
Magrit: Dolly?
Dolly: What?
Magrit: I think that's you and I engaged.

[having lost her ticket]
Magrit: You try an' do too many bloody things at the wan time. I've lost it! I think I'm goin' aff ma heid!

Dolly: It said he'd passed away leavin' a grievin' wife.
Magrit: Nae money?
Dolly: Naw, just the grievin' wife.

[complaining about her husband]
Magrit: He's lying up there drunk already. Oot the game. Sick all o'er ma carpet... pig! His breath's like a burst lavvy; you could strip paint wi' it!

[talking about her chest]
Magrit: Peter said that was the first two things he ever noticed about me. Funny thing was, I had ma back tae him at the time!

[Margrit and Doreen have just been discussing their favourite actors]
Magrit: Here, Dolly, you ever heard of Tony Curtis?
Dolly: Naw... does he come fae round here?

Doreen: That's ma dream. A hoose in the country, wi' a television... and a bath... and a phone... and a garden as well!
Magrit: Christ, you're no wantin' much, are you?

[after being quiet for a long time]
Dolly: Margrit?
Magrit: I knew it was too good tae last. What is it, Dolly?

[finishing up their laundry]
Dolly: Just gie them a good wring out with your hands an' then you can stick them in front of the fire when you get hame. Or in the oven!
Doreen: Ohh... I did that once. Nearly set the hoose on fire!

[Andy is clearly drunk]
Andy: So... everythin' workin' awright doon here then?
Magrit: Apart fae you, d'you mean?

Magrit: You dancin'?
Doreen: You askin'?
Magrit: I'm askin'!
Doreen: I'm dancin'!
