Almost a rating of 10

Grewing up I quite enjoyed this series. After the departure of star Don van Dijke (Chefpiet) it was still quite enjoyable, but after 10 seasons it is worth noting that his presence in later seasons would have given the series it's final completion. I rate this series a 9, the presence of Don van Dijke in later seasons would have made it worth a 10.

In 2005, the show got its first number 1 single in the Dutch pop charts, "De Streken van Tante Toets", which was - at the time - the series' current theme song. It was performed by Harold Verwoert, who also plays the part of "Coole Piet" in the series. Although he also usually jointly composes and writes the theme songs for the show (since 2001), this year his wife Louisa Verwoert did that jointly with Daan van Leeuwen.

Almost every season has multiple re-editings. The original daily TV airings, the week compilations and the complete season compilations. The first season (1999) even has multiple versions of the opening credits in the original style, while seasons 7, 8 and 10 even have new theme songs.
