American Beauty is my favorite film. Growing up in Paris I had a friend named Greg. Greg died at 20 when a truck he was in the back of flipped over and killed him. Other friends in the back escaped, some how... I was 15. Greg showed me American Beauty and we watched it quite a few times. Alan Ball who wrote American Beauty wrote the Paris Texas episode of Grave Under Fire. A show I remember very vaguely watching with my mom because I was so young when it was on. 20 so years later I decided to watch Grace Under Fire from the beginning. And I'm glad I did. Because I discovered the Paris, Texas episode and it was written by Alan Ball who wrote my favorite movie, American Beauty. Thanks to my dear friend Greg Ricketts, from Paris, Texas.
