Touching, just a little hard to swallow.

Dorothy is keen to build a family history, but when it comes to asking Sophia for hers, Sophia deftly obfuscates. Meanwhile, Blanche is having a hot tub installed and can't wait to make full use of the men doing the job.

Rose's innocence - she's so well-meaning, trying to do what's right, but just gets things wrong - causes chaos here. Blanche would have been perfectly justified in booting her out.

The writing is amusing, if a little convenient. The story feels made to fit; knowing these characters after six episodes, it just feels off in places.

Did they jump the shark here? I'm not quite sure about Sophia having a husband before Salvador. He's meant to be the focus of her love and affection, so introducing another husband feels shoehorned in just for this episode.

Plenty of Dorothy glares to enjoy - she's on great form.

When Dorothy is making the recording about Sophia, she mentions that Sophia refused to be "thought of as property and demanding instead to marry a man she loved." Sophia says that she had her marriage to Guido annulled and then sailed to America. But at other times in the series, Sophia mentions that she didn't choose to marry Sal. And, she was already married to Sal when she came to America.

Dorothy Petrillo Zbornak: I just assumed that everyone was gonna vote for Rose, and I- I didn't want a sweep to hurt her feelings.
Blanche Devereaux: I guess that would hurt.
Dorothy Petrillo Zbornak: IT DOES-S-S!
