Great movie must watch, they said it's a small movie but you get feel of Bahubali scale when it comes to VFX ... it's going pan word hit movie without any doubt .. Nice movie, the movie is full of devotional with awesome action and realistic graphics in low budget. Bharatiya cinema at its best. Great what they accomplished with limited budget that too a concept film like Hanuman. Jai Bajrang Bali. In Hindu mythology, Ramayan is the most popular story ever told. And when it comes to Ramayan, then its not just Ram, Laxman, Sita and Ravan. There is also one more important character in the story - HANUMAN.

Since the silent movies era, there have been number of flicks made on the Ramayan and its characters but never before has there been a full fledged animation movie around the story.

The highlight of the movie is that it is India's first ever animated movie based on Hanuman's life and takes the viewer through Hanuman's birth till the great victory over Lanka. The movie talks about number of extraordinary feats that he displayed since his childhood through 100 minutes of world class animation. The movie boasts of 40 characters and 200,000 individual images that resulted in the movie Hanuman, which is directed by V.G.Samant and has Mukesh Khanna providing the voice-over for Hanuman.

The kiddos and I had been looking for South Asian animation, and I happily stumbled upon this DVD. The animation has a bit of an 80s feel to it, but in a good way. It tells the story of the playful monkey (demi-)god Hanuman, a divine incarnation of Shiva (equal parts Christ and Hercules) who loses his way and has to find himself through service to Ram, and, more generally, the battle against the demons who threaten to take over the earth (but who present mostly as humans). The creators did not shy away with telling this epic story (from the Ramayana, I think) in all its paradox and tradition, and the result is a fascinating one, with a mix of light humor, fantasy, and battle (usually not too gruesome) which will appeal to many children.
