The film was given an "A" certificate by the Indian Censor Board for theatrical release due to its intense violence and sexual content, after a total of 13 cuts were made.
The following cuts are:

- Deleted the words # Mr. Pudungi # uttered by Harichandra while talking over telephone.(sound retained silent) (Reel 2)
- Deleted the following in the song sequence. i) Mythili unfolding the towel worn by her while dancing. Ii) Raghu sniffing over Mythili from her breasts to naval. Iii) Close shots of bare legs of Mythili. (Replaced with appd. visuals of dance movement (Reel 1)
- Deleted the conversation between Harichandra and sales girl starting form # Ponga madam # and ending with # naan shirtai sonnane # at the garment shop. (Reel 5)
- Deleted the words # Ennadhu idhu # uttered by Raghu along with the visuals. (Reel 6)
- Deleted the visuals of Mythili lying on bed in suggestive nudity and also the subsequent visuals of her inner garments lying on the floor. (Reel 7)
- Deleted the visuals of Mythili exposing her bare breasts wherever occurs, in the song sequence. (Replaced with appd. visuals of dance movement for same length) (Reel 7)
- Deleted the close up shots of birds in a cage. (Reel 8)
- Deleted the visuals of the chopped finger of Vishwa at his guest house. (Reel 8)
- Deleted the words # Izhuthu vechu aruthuduva # uttered by Harichandra while conversating with a villager.(sound retained silent) (Reel 12)
- Deleted the entire visual of the parrot being put in the mixie. (Reel 12)
- Deleted the words # Mayirap pochu # uttered by Vishwa. (sound retained silent) (Reel 13)
- Deleted the suggestive visual of Vishwa killing the bird. (Reel 13)
