Tomorrow Is Today

I saw this film last week at it's world premiere at the Rhode Island International Film Festival. I was so moved by the amazing writing, acting and of course, directing. I haven't seen a film so well done as this one in a long time, independent or mainstream. There was not one character that you couldn't relate to or empathize with. Usually I am only able to find one, maybe two characters to like in a good script, but Mark Hefti's innovative writing along with Frederic Lumiere's dynamic direction helped me connect with every single character. After watching this film, I stepped out of the theater for some fresh air and then returned to catch a brief portion of their Q & A. Again I had to leave because I was so moved by all aspects of this story. Tomorrow is Today was the perfect title to such a fantastic film. This movie has restored my faith in finding love after loss and heartbreak. This is a must see by film lovers everywhere.

This is a very well-made film. Lumiere manages to capture the emotional struggles of each of these characters with seeming ease of his craft. Hefti delivers solid written material for the team to play from, and the cast understands the story as both individuals and cohesive unit members. The feel of this film is consistent throughout, and we found ourselves concerned and hopeful for the main players...

Excellent performances by Taylor-Compton, Hefti, Draper, and Ken Arnold, strong and a compelling storyline made this an extremely enjoyable film to watch.

The movie is different from all the other Hollywood movies in an extremely beautiful way. It makes you love life and realize that bad things happen to all, even a sweet and innocent girl, but life goes on and for the sake of the loved ones that you lost you must go on and live life to the fullest. The movie was very touching, made me cry, yet the unexpected funny parts made it more real and natural. I loved all the characters, the script and the ending...the ending couldn't have been written any better. Although there isn't much action in the movie, it passed by so fast. The audience is constatnly being surprised by an addition of a new plot...ex: the police officers life, the liquir stores owners life, the life of Muriel's daughter and the teenager's parents. All these characters had lost something great, but they all live life because they have each other, because they have sholders to cry on, because they have one another to lean on, or simply because they have to be strong for the others. LOVED IT! LOVED IT! LOVED IT! Hollywood is long overdue for a movie like this.

I loved this movie. It's a great story and it really made me think about what's important in life. Not your typical Hollywood fluff. Interesting characters working their way through life and finding hope and love in unexpected places and situations. It reminded me of some of the amazing people I've met in my life and how they helped me through the difficult times I've experienced. It also made me realize that most of the things I worry about are not as important as I make them out to be. Amazing things are going on all around me but I'm missing it, not noticing and not participating, because I'm so preoccupied with myself and my hopes and fears. A good movie is entertaining. A great movie is entertaining and changes your perspective on things. This is a great movie. I wish there were more movies being made like this. We are all connected. Thanks for making this film!

First, I must apologize if my comment comes off as too over the top. But how I feel about this movie is something I can not tone down! Tomorrow is Today is Film making at it's finest. I happened upon this film, through my membership to the Spiritual Cinema Circle, and I was blown away. It pulled me in and rocked me to the core. The beautiful, poetic, inspiring way this devastatingly heart wrenching story is told is amazing. The writing, direction, acting, cinematography--everything, is so powerfully moving there really are no words to describe it. I love a good cry, and that's just what this film evokes: a GOOD cry. For inter-weaved with the heartache & pain is hope, courage, and soul stirring inspiration. This movie has the biggest heart of any I've ever seen. I TRULY hope to one day see it on the big screen, because that is exactly where it belongs. Tomorrow is Today is a first-rate film that everyone should have the opportunity to experience.
