Producer Julio Caro has been sentenced to 18 months in federal prison for stealing nearly $1.5 million from billionaire Ron Burkle's Yucaipa Corporate Initiatives Fund. According to court documents, Caro used his company, Broken Rose Productions, to enter into a limited liability agreement with Yucaipa in early 2005. We have an excellent script written by Carl Dupré ('Detroit Rock City,' 'Hellraiser: Hell World') and Glenn Ciano ('Homie Spumoni'), and we are excited to get started on the first installment of this budding franchise."

Producer Michael Corrente ("Outside Providence," "American Buffalo," "Brooklyn Rules," "A Door in the Floor") stated, "I was pleasantly surprised at how the project came to fruition: This film comes out of a screenwriting competition I started two years ago in Providence. And it's a wrap on the new thriller starring Robert Englund. Of course we are referring to Verdi Corrente Productions' Inkubus, and now that it's in the can, we have a couple of more details for you including a website and a synopsis.

Like we needed to tell you Robert Englund was the original "Freddy". I suppose from now on we will have to do that, just to make sure Robert isn't forgotten. We just got word that Englund joins the already impressive cast of 'Inkubu'...

Englund will play the monster and the cast so far includes William Forsythe ("Halloween," "The Devil's Rejects," "The Rock," "Raising Arizona"), Joey Fatone ("My Big Fat Greek Wedding," "The Cooler," "Homie Spumoni"), Jonathan Silverman ("Weekend at Bernie's," "Brighton Beach Memoirs," "Death Becomes Her"), Mike Cerrone ("Me Myself and Irene," "Stuck on You," "Outside Providence") and Michelle Ray Smith ("Wedding Daze") will complete this exciting ensemble cast with Glenn Ciano sitting in the directors seat.
