Pleasantly surprised. This is the first movie I have seen based on the notorious Junko Furuta case. The movie is interesting to watch. If you are a fan of Girl Hell 1999, Red Room 1, 2, and All Night films this is a must-check out. I'm surprised that the parents of the main villain are so soft... Because I'm pretty positive that Japanese-Chinese parents are pretty strict in general.

What could make this movie better is if we knew a bit more about our heroine, the victim. We are just following the killers, and only the head villain has understandable depth. I have not seen the other Junko Furuta films.

As, and for any other unacceptable, morally, movie, i have only one for rating. Even one gram of sympathy or understanding for rapists is beyond any acceptance.

If you want to feel disturbed by a case just watch this. The rest is okay the movie is done well and follows the real life story but it's tough and to watch it you need to have a tough stomach and mind. It helps if you're curious and want to know and understand the case but will definitely mess you up if you watch it fully cause it's the most visual image of the case and to imagina it happening just makes you ache.

Other than that the movie is well done and contains all details, which can be too much for some people, of the case and in my opinion it was made so we as humans make sure that never happens again.

I'm fully aware of pretty much all the details of the terribly sad Junko case. Much like the Lykans case made as a terrifying movie: The Girl Next Door. It's just hard to believe human beings could do this to another human being. The movie does not show anything close to what poor Junko had to go through. It's so sad. The movie itself is incredibly sad. Those of you interested in murder mysteries will find a movie like this fascinating. Not in a good way. Movies like this don't show the power a victim has to go through, and this was hard enough to watch as it is. It's just so amazing (sad) to see what people can do. RIP Junko

I'm unsure why this got such a low rating because it isn't a bad movie. This movie is disturbing, hard to watch and sad but do I regret watching it? No. I feel like they are trying to show how bad Junko was treated and they do a good job at this. The men and the families who think their sons did nothing wrong are sick. I don't get easily disturbed by movies but this one left me disturbed and sad for the poor girl that had to endure this. The acting is well in my opinion the gore isn't cheap and they tell the story very well. Give this a watch if you are interested in the story of Junko or just want to be sad or disturbed.
