Winx Club

This show right here was my jam...IS my jam!!! It is such an amazing show that has brought me so much happiness and joy during my childhood. I hope that those of you who watch this show enjoy it as much as I do.

The basics of this series is what would be Sailor Moon attendance Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Anyone who says different is fooling them self. Beside the predone pretext, the only problem I have with Winx Club is the shallow and forced relationships the girls and boys are put into with each other.

Since I'm inclined to point out the bad points of the show I would like to say this is on a whole an enjoyable show and worth watching if only for the first few episodes to see if you like it yourself.

The main character's background is taken straight from Sailor Moon. There are at least four main points the Bloom's past share with Usagi's but I won't go into them here as I'll put definite spoilers later on.

As for the school of Alfea. It's only difference to Hogwarts as I see it is the building itself. The teacher and classes could not be anymore similar to the ones in Harry Potter if they used the same names.

The basic story of both Bloom and Usagi is this. The girl is the princess of the world of the most importance in the Universe. One day an evil force destroys the girl's world but she miraculously escapes to Earth to be raised by a foster family. At the age of 14 the girl discovers she has magic powers and a guardian to help them reveal the secrets of the past. The girl find four other girls who, while different, become friends and help her fight the evil that destroyed her planet.

The school similarities are easy enough to point out. From what little they show of classes, in Winx, Alfea has a Transfiguration class which is fun by a Flitwick clone. There is also a Potions class of course and a teacher who is distinctly like McGonagall only more punishment minded.

Lastly, the relationships seem to be thrown into the series for the sake of it. There is no depth to them, they have obviously pre-designated partners and basically act as if these are the only people there are. It would be nice if two people shared an interest in the same person or someone didn't return someone feelings but not because of a spell. Hopefully Flora and Mirta will at least share an ambiguous relationship as theirs is the only interesting one.

The First 4 seasons are 8/10. An amazing franchise for girls. ( Boys could like it too if they were not ridiculously afraid of Linings girls things anyways, I mean not as much as us of course but you know what I mean) Magic,friendship, compelling storylines, glamorous outfits, likeable Characters I mean what more can we want ? (Maybe a better live-action adaptation ?) It had so much potential then the latest trash seasons, my girls would be so dissapointed with what Ignio let them become. Oh it's such a pity! But the initial 4 seasons were a masterpiece and a landmark for the y2k era for me, Come on they were the dreamteam and they were my childhood so I am giving this 6 stars for what it once was.

Winx club is an example of how Imaginative a show can get. whoever created winx club, we all are happy for you.

Winx club tells the story of bloom, a girl who has powers she never knew about. until one day she accidentally uses them. she ends up going through a portal into alfea. when she's there, she begins to discover her winx, in other words, her powers. she also falls in love with a heroic boy, and fights evil stuff and witches.

this show is a good one. although some things are debatable. people mention lots of times about all the characters wearing skimpy outfits and being anorexic. but just because girls see this, doesn't mean they'll want to be as skinny as the girls on the show.

but it's worth it to watch it. my little sister has the first season on DVD. and like i said. it's like diving into a pool of champagne. overall, a good show.

I've watched the show from episode one and I love it. It's not a mix of Harry Potter and Sailor Moon. Sailor Monn is a cry baby who manages to kick but with her back-up. Winx Club is a girl who with her girl-friends and the boys next-door, fight evil witches. Their is no leader of the group, and if their is its Stella more then Bloom, who is the main character.

Winx Club is the story of a girl, Bloom, who one day, while walking her rabbit, runs into a fairy, Stella, fighting a monster, Mr. Knut. She help Stella and after Stella offers to take Bloom to Alfea, a School for Faries, wear she can perfect her powers. Their she meets her 3 other roommates,Flora, Musa and Tecna, and they form the Winx Club. Together they fight 3 senior witches at the Cloud Tower School for Witches. They also get help for the Red Fountain boys at the Red Fountain School for Heroics and Bravery. They also aid Bloom in her search for her real parents, as she was adopted by her human parents her father is a fire fighter and her found her in a burning building).
