Instant Star

If the summary confuses you, my meaning was this: I don't normally like shows like this, in fact of all the shows of it's kin that are on the N, this is the only one I REALLY like. The crack comment was meant to imply that this show is highly addictive. It explores a subject that I'm surprised has not been tapped into before now, what happens after people win contests like American Idol. Not only is the show a topic which we know audiences like (American Idol), but it has dimension to it. It has characters that you really like or characters that you really hate. The show gives viewers everything that audiences have been shown to like: comedy, good music, attractive, and not untalented actors, and the most important thing, drama. I would recommend this show to anybody, at any age. Despite the fact that it is mainly geared toward teenagers, I know grown ups that watch it and like it just as much as their children. So in conclusion, if you haven't watched this show, give it a chance, you just might like it.

Instant Star is a great TV show for teenagers. The lead actors/actresses Alexz Johnson and Tim Rozon are great at portraying their characters, making you feel what they feel. This TV show is about 16 year old Jude (Alexz) who won a talent contest and is sky-rocketed into fame. Her producer Tommy Q (Tim) is 21 and has feelings toward Jude which he ignores knowing her age. Jude also likes Tommy but despite her attempts, he reminds her she's too young.

Another dilemma is that Jude tries hard to stay original, with original music, but finds it difficult as the music industry is trying to turn her into a more mainstream artist. Also, she has trouble with jealousy because people at her school and even her friends become sick of the constant hype about her.

This show deals with fame, teen crushes/relationships, friendships, and other emotions. Really wonderful show for ages 12-17 Rating: A- Definitely a must see.

When I first heard about this show I was like "okay whatever another stupid show" I ain't going watch it. Well I came home from vacation and I was waiting for Degrassi to come on and the N was showing Instant Star.I sat and watched it and ever since then I have been hooked, I thought it was going to be horrible but its not bad at all. I had watched Alexz on "So Weird" so I knew who she was after I saw her name in credits, I also have seen Kristopher in "Brotherhood 3" and he wasn't that bad either but he put on a little weight since the movie. But in the endthe show is really addicting.

Also its a plus because that is the kind of stuff you have to deal with when you get into the music business. I mean some of it is romantic crap which is always a plus, because there is not one show on that doesn't have drama. So in the end Watch the show because there is a lot of different things going on in every episode and ITS NOT JUST ANOTHER STUPID SHOW AND ALSO ITS NOT A WASTE OF TIME TO WATCH IT, there has to be someone that you can relate to on the show. lol

this show is so smart and full of dreams and life's unexpected turns its full of love and hope its a heart felt story that in time will take you under its wing and provide the natural ways of dreaming with pride if you like music this is perfect Jude Harrison has just finished her record and now she knows its harder staying in the music world than living it i love this story just because its cute and full of laughter ,pride and hope and loss of hope if you don't like music than its ready to burst with love and friendships and sister fight back. best friends will cry, boyfriend will suffer, and girls will find out who they are, mothers will watch, and sisters will fight ,producers will say no but to which sister and after he does it does he realize he made a mistake, and will best friend reach there braking point and see love for them selves in each other. watch this show it will fill your soul with the best dreams possible

I am also a teenage girl, and I have no idea what in the world the previous reviewer was watching, but it definitely was NOT "Instant Star." The "Paris Hilton-like" characters she referred to, first of all, are considered to be the antagonists keeping Jude, the main character, from pursuing her dream of making music. Jude is a 16 year-old girl who wins a singing contest and gets a record deal. I'm also not quite sure about the sex that the previous reviewer complained tainted the entire show since Jude receives her first kiss a few episodes into the show, claiming she wanted to wait so that it would be special. Your right, that's very scandalous compared to all of those "wholesome" teen shows out there. All in all, Jude is a very grounded, MORAL girl in the show, and she is coming of age while surrounded by the antics and hype that are part of the music business. I highly recommend this show for anyone looking for a different kind of show with great music and an awesome cast.
