Chacun chez soi

The writer Pierre Bazeille has come back from Japan and has a new duty-the translation in French of a Japanese novel-. At his apartment in Paris he will meet his companion Laurence, but also her daughter Gaelle and Yvan-the boyfriend of Gaelle-: too much noise and Pierre is desperate. Then his friend and editor proposes him to spend some days in the Lot department in the house of his half-sister Felice-a sculptor-. Felice accepts the deal. Then Pierre arrives at the house of Felice: living together is then very complicated (the noise of the workshop, Felice didn't bought the Arabica coffee that Pierre drinks usually), both Felice and Pierre have a very tense relationship. In Paris Laurence has some remorse to have let Pierre go away for his work. Little by little Pierre and Felice make peace, they drink coffee together in the morning and have a pleasant supper together-Felice speaks a lot about her ex-boyfriend François-. Suddenly François appears at the house of Felice and Felice askes Pierre to play the role of her new lover because she doesn't want to live again with François. On the other side Laurence has decided to rescue her relationship with Pierre and travels to the Lot department.

I enjoyed the performances of Pierre Arditi, Evelyne Bouix, Christiane Millet, Philippe Magnan and Antoine Duléry.
