Run is an action comedy-romance film directed by Late Jeeva and stars Abhishek Bachchan, Bhumika Chawla, Mahesh Manjrekar, Mukesh Rishi, Ayesha Jhulka, Vijay Raaz and Late Goga Kapoor.
A youngster arrives in Delhi and falls in love with a girl and she also reciprocates her feeling but is opposed by her gangster brother who also plots to kill the boy.
I have seen lots of Bollywood films and can't understand the logic of a girl getting impressed and eventually falling in love with a stalker. In this film also Abhishek portrays a role of stalker and Bhumika eventually falls in love with him, nevertheless let's come to the review of the film.
Run a film with a very substandard plot and equally substandard and pale execution. We have seen many films with such plot and this film also being made with the same mediocre and cliché way of film making.
Acting is decent and none of the character disappoints with Vijay Raaz as the most impressive of them all, however in my opinion Mukesh Rishi is wasted. The film is shot in Delhi hence the villain is been shown speaking in Haryanvi dialect which looked forced upon, Fake and unimpressive.
Screenplay is very pale and predictable and apart from periodic comic relief by the great Vijay Raaz there is nothing fresh in the film which can keep the viewers engaged, the climax of the film is unimpressive and the film ends on a very sudden note and lacks proper closure. Overall apart from the brilliant comedy by Vijay Raaz there is no reason to watch this pale and dull film.

I don't know if anyone else who has watched Hong Kong cinema agrees with me but this film is very much like the action films that come out every year in Hong Kong. From the storyline and plot right down to the action scenes and even comical scenes, there are just so many similarities. The only differences of course are that it it is in Hindi and it contains musical scenes, which Hong Kong films sadly do not have. Even though Abhishek will probably not come down as Jackie Chan, this film is worth watching if you like action films with kung fu fighting or if you are curious to know what experiments the directors in Bollywood are always up to.
This movie was not too bad but it was too long to sit through. I really can't imagine AB Jr running around like crazy after a girl. After seeing Dhoom and this movie, I think AB JR is better off as Jai in Dhoom. Boomika is nice and sweet. This movie reminded me of Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage. The three main characters (the boy, girl and the brother) were parallel. This movie is a bit more stand-able because Boomika does not hyperventilate. She is actually quite brave compared to Amisha. I guess that is just Amisha's trade mark. This brother was not as crazy as the one is AMALL. The comedy was a bit too much, I agree. The songs were okay but a bit too long. Overall, I recommend that you borrow this movie rather than buying it because it is not worth the money. Even if you are AB Jr's fan or Boomika's. I sure they have done much better movies.
This movie is only watchable due to vijay raaz.
I only watched it because of vijay raaz. Kawaa biryani, choti ganga, epic dance by vijay raaz.
