Summer House: How Danielle Olivera & Gabby Prescod Shared Ex-Boyfriend
Image
Summer House veteran Danielle Olivera discovered she'd been sharing much more than a house with newcomer Gabby Prescod in a recent episode of the Bravo series when she found out the two have shared an ex-boyfriend. Gabby, who just joined the show for the most recent Summer House installment, was dating her ex-boyfriend Brannan Goetschius for years before she found out he was cheating on her and ended the relationship. When she finally met and got to chat with the rest of the Summer House cast, she didn't mention that she already knew all about Danielle.

Summer House's Danielle Olivera entered the cast during Summer House season 2, where she joined some of the original cast members. Now, as a regular on the Bravo show, Danielle has been a recognizable face among the rotating cast of characters. When Gabby and Danielle met, the pair both already knew about one another,...

Sosie Bacon
Proof That Sosie Bacon Is the Perfect Mix of Her Famous Parents
Sosie Bacon
Sosie Bacon, the daughter of Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick, has been slowing building up her acting résumé ever since her dad cast her in her first role in 2005's Loverboy. While she's had a few small parts since then, her career hit a very big high note this year with the recent release of 13 Reasons Why on Netflix. Sosie plays Skye in the show (which sounds like it will probably get picked up for a second season) and absolutely crushed her portrayal of the high school outcast with a good heart. While the 25-year-old is pretty unrecognizable on the show with her dark makeup and various tattoos, she looks so much like her famous parents in everyday life. You know how kids usually take after one of their parents more than the other? Nope, not Sosie. She's equal parts Kevin and Kyra, and it's kinda trippy. RelatedKevin Bacon Teaches...

TNT Gives Pilot Orders To Reincarnation Drama Produced By Kyra Sedgwick, Legal Drama From Marcia Clark & Dee Johnson
Exclusive: The Closer star/executive producer Kyra Sedgwick is back at TNT with another female-centered procedural drama project, this time strictly behind the camera. The cable network has given a pilot order to Proof, a supernatural medical drama executive produced by Sedgwick. Additionally, TNT has greenlighted a legal drama pilot co-written by Marcia Clark, the lead prosecutor in the O.J. Simpson trial, and Nashville showrunner Dee Johnson. Written by Rob Bragin (Greek), Proof centers on a skeptical, hard science, female surgeon who’s struggled with family issues including a tragic death. She is persuaded to investigate cases of reincarnation, out-of-body experiences, hauntings — all of it looking for verifiable proof, to try to answer one of life’s greatest questions: Is death truly the end, or is there something … beyond?. Bragin and Sedgwick executive produce with her manager Jill Littman and producer Tom Jacobson (Ladykillers). There are no plans for Sedgwick to star.

Lovely Hi-Res Look At Alice Eve In The Raven With John Cusack
We got our first official look at John Cusack as Edgar Allen Poe in the upcoming The Raven back in June, and he looked pretty fantastic.

We then got an utterly stunning first poster for the film a month later, followed by a great batch of images, and then a second follow-up poster that was yet another brilliant work of art.

Directed by James McTeigue (V for Vendetta), and written by Hannah Shakespeare (Loverboy) and newcomer Ben Livingstone, the film is led by John Cusack and also stars Luke Evans, Alice Eve, Brendan Gleeson, and Oliver Jackson-Cohen. Our first look at Alice Eve as the female lead in the film came with the batch of images back in July, and we’ve now got our first hi-res look at her courtesy of Bloody Disgusting. Rest assured, though, the picture is far from bloody disgusting, showing Eve fit for a ball...

New Look at Cusack as Poe
John Cusack in The Raven The Huffington Post offers up the above image of John Cusack as Edgar Allan Poe in V for Vendetta helmer, James McTeigue's The Raven, and this time it's a more official look than the previous set shot in which Poe was sporting a nice pair of Nike Shox.

The Raven was penned by Ben Livingston (Bruce Almighty) and Hannah Shakespeare (Loverboy) and is described as a fictionalized account of the final five "mysterious" days of Edgar Allan Poe's life. The story will follow the famous writer as he joins the hunt for a serial killer whose murders are inspired by his stories. "It's like the poem, 'The Raven,' itself, crossed with Se7en. It should be pretty cool. The script is really good and everyone responds to it really well. I'm in the middle of casting," said McTeigue.

John Cusack Tweets About New Edgar Allen Poe Role
Edgar Allan Poe
John Cusack's Tweets are infamous for being somewhat hard to decipher (or, some would say, grammatically incorrect and full of typos, but these people need to chill a little), but they're always pretty entertaining and occasionally political. Now we can turn to them for breaking news as well. Earlier yesterday he confirmed he will be joining the film The Raven: "officiali- will play edgar allen poe in fall-a-film called the raven, send any poe- gold - my way as i begin this journey into the abyss".

That would be James McTeigue's The Raven; the director began discussing his film during press for last summer's Ninja Assassin. There's a serial killer loose in 1850s Baltimore who's killing people in the manner Poe kills people in his stories. And it's...

Celebrity Biography: Sandra Bullock
Sandra Bullock is one of the world's most popular, most recognizable and longest-lasting movie stars. She arrived on July 26, 1964, as Sandra Annette Bullock, the daughter of opera singer Helga Meyer and voice coach and Pentagon contractor John Bullock. Though she was born in Arlington, Virginia, Bullock actually grew up in Nuremberg, Germany, where she first dipped her toes in the entertainment waters by studying vocal arts and ballet dancing, and appearing (briefly) in some of her mother's shows. She returned to the States in the mid-70's, attending high school and then going to college at East Carolina University in North Carolina, but she exited before graduation in order to chase her acting dream. It wasn't long before Bullock -- initially based in New York City -- started to find work. She landed a role in the back-door pilot Bionic Showdown: The Six Million Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman...

'Ninja Assassin' Director James McTeigue Looks To Edgar Allen Poe For 'The Raven'
Edgar Allan Poe is no stranger to the movies. His literature has been adapted to film as early as 1908 and he was first portrayed onscreen in a D.W. Griffith short a year later. So it’s not always that exciting to hear about another Poe project in the works. However, I am very intrigued by this new movie coming from “V for Vendetta” director James McTeigue, which will fictionalize the writer’s mysterious final days.

/Film got the scoop on this project while interviewing McTeigue at San Diego Comic-Con. His latest, the upcoming “Ninja Assassin,” was screened at Sdcc and it opens this November. The Poe project is titled “The Raven,” though it’s not exactly based on the writer’s avian-centric poem. McTeigue claims it’s like a cross between Poe’s “The Raven” and the David Fincher film “Se7en.” Scripted by Hannah Shakespeare (Kevin Bacon’s “Loverboy”) and Ben Livingston,...

James McTeigue to Direct The Raven
James McTeigue, director of V for Vendetta and the upcoming Ninja Assassin, has revealed to the folks over at Slash Film that he will next helm The Raven, which is a fictionalized account of the final five “mysterious” days of Edgar Allan Poe’s life. Hannah Shakespeare (Loverboy) and Ben Livingston penned the screenplay, which sees the famous writer join the hunt for a serial killer whose murders are inspired by his stories. Casting is currently underway. Poe, an American writer, poet, editor and literary critic, considered part of the American Romantic Movement and best known for his tales of mystery and the macabre, died October 7, 1849. He was found on the streets of Baltimore delirious and in great distress. He was taken to the Washington College Hospital, where he died. Poe was never coherent long enough to explain how he came to be in his dire condition, and, oddly, was...

Sandra Bullock's 'Blind Side' Sure Looks Familiar in New Trailer
Let's get this out of the way: I'm no Sandra Bullock bully. I know, I gave her crap for looking all too perky in her long-delayed rom-com All About Steve (which is currently scheduled to bow on September 4th instead of last March, after The Proposal did well by her and The Hangover put co-star Bradley Cooper in a more recognizable realm). But she seems terribly content to play it safe, merely bantering with Hugh Grant or Benjamin Bratt or Ryan Reynolds, with diversions into dramatic territory either little-seen (Infamous, Loverboy) or little-loved (Premonition).

The most prominent exception to that streak would have to be Paul Haggis' Crash, and while I don't think that Bullock is so scheming as to put herself in another Oscar-baiting melodrama out of hopes of continuing that glory to more... individual ends, I hardly think it's coincidence that The Blind Side is the based-on-a-true-story...
