In the first half of the championship when Sam Weston is supposedly at home, he is seen defending on the field.

Phil gets a black eye from Mike Ditka. When the two are talking the next day, the black eye is gone.

In the semi-final game, Massimo is tripped and gets a free kick. He takes the free kick and it clearly goes over the defenders' heads. In the next shot, it strikes one of the defenders in the midsection.

When Phil and Buck are playing darts in the basement, Buck throws a bullseye, then pulls his darts from the board, leaving the board dart-free. Phil's ensuing throw hits the neon sign, breaking it. Buck throws his dart and lands in the bullseye, but there are two other darts in the bullseye circle in the close-up.

When coach Phil is giving away the birds, several kids take cages from the box. In the next shot, the box is full of cages.

During a normal soccer game, players are not allowed to kick the ball behind their necks and "carry" the ball in that manner. The player then lifted his teammate to head butt the ball into the goal, and that is not allowed. Either of these infractions falls into dangerous play or unsportsmanlike behavior and results in a yellow warning card, or a red card, and ejection of the player from the game.

After the Tigers' first game, the standings are shown, but the wins and losses don't add up. The Tigers should be 0-3, or another team should have an additional loss.

Although the referee wears an approved FIFA uniform, he does not have a patch on his left chest pocket indicating his grade/certification. Normally all center referees are Grade 8 or higher.

In the Championship game, Phil subs Gian Piero and Massimo off at half-time, then later brings them back on. This would not happen in real life. Once a player is subbed in a football match, he/she may not come back on.

Right after Phil gets punched by Mike Ditka, he is shown at his house kissing his wife. Then he starts to cry and says "I'm in way over my head," but his mouth doesn't move.

As Gian Piero and Massimo first walk on the field to play against the Generals, Massimo is mumbling in Italian, but his mouth is not moving.

In the finals, when the referee calls both coaches, Phil and his dad, you can see the shadow of the tarp that covers the sun on the field.

When Phil first meets Byong Sun's parents, they say he is very shy. But then in the very next scene, he is shown to be very enthusiastic and outgoing.
