Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (2003)

Citazioni

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

Modifica
  • Prince: Most people think time is like a river that flows swift and sure in one direction, but I have seen the face of time and I can tell you they are wrong. Time is an ocean in a storm. You may wonder who I am and why I say this; sit down and I will tell you a tale like none that you have ever heard!
  • Farah: Listen to this, "Of what use is reason against the power of love? Love is life, so if you want to live, die in love. Die in love if you want to stay alive."
  • Prince: What's that supposed to mean?
  • Farah: I thought you'd like it.
  • Prince: If you want to be useful, try finding a book that'll tell us how to get out of here.
  • Farah: This isn't that kind of game.
  • Prince: Game? She thinks this is a game...
  • [the Prince and Farah enter a corridor, Farah sees a crack in the wall]
  • Farah: Look, a crack!
  • Prince: Wait. Let's see where this corridor leads.
  • [they turn a corner and see that the hall is filled with traps]
  • Prince: All right, you can take the crack.
  • Prince: Be careful!
  • Farah: Of what? Not everything is a trap, you know.
  • [Farah and the Prince enter a lift, and activate it]
  • Farah: That was easy.
  • Prince: Too easy.
  • [sand creatures appear in legion]
  • Farah: [gasps]
  • Prince: [mocking Farah] You know, not everything is a trap!
  • Prince: I'll just ask the first Sand Creature I run into, "Could you direct me to the baths, please?" Well, thank you. "Don't mention it, I used to be a bath attendant back when I was alive... "
  • Prince: I'm afraaaaaid, what if I get into trouuuble?
  • Farah: Fine. Take all the time you need. I'll read a book.
  • Vizier: [falls to the ground, mortally wounded by The Prince] I could have been... immortal...
  • [dies]
  • Farah: [after Farah has accidentally shot the Prince during a previous fight] You go ahead. I'll cover you!
  • Prince: Please don't. You're liable to hit me.
  • Prince: If you can crawl under that gate I'll really be surprised... I knew that crack was there.
  • Prince: Now what do we do... Yes just about to suggest that.
  • Prince: WAIT!
  • Farah: And you were worried about me catching up?
  • Farah: Try and hit the switch on the wall.
  • Prince: What do you think I'm trying to do?
  • Prince: I'll meet you at the other side of that gate.
  • Farah: Okay! Be careful.
  • Prince: YOU be careful.
  • Farah: My love... please don't leave me...
  • Prince: What did you call me?
  • Farah: It doesn't matter, help me reach the tower of dawn.
  • Prince: Of course the Hourglass, all right but this time stay with me, i can't spend all day chasing after you!
  • Farah: Do you think I can jump it?
  • Prince: Go on, what's the worse that can happen?
  • Farah: Now how can I get through?
  • Prince: I don't know can't you crawl thorough a crack or something?
  • Farah: The switch is broken.
  • Prince: Very funnny... let me through.
  • Farah: What are you doing?
  • Prince: I don't know I'm working it out as I go.
  • Prince: [Pretending to be Farah] Oh, have you been waiting here all this time? I didn't realize you meant these baths! I went to the other baths clear across the other side of the city. I had a lovely wash and a rub with fragrant oils. Too bad you weren't there... Stop talking to yourself!
  • [rejoining Farah at the Harem]
  • Farah: What took you so long?
  • Prince: Oh, just frolicking about the palace. Have you been waiting long?
  • [if you look at Farah for a long time]
  • Farah: What? Please don't look at me like that.
  • Prince: Like what?
  • Prince: Not again...
  • Prince: She said my love... I know she did. I didn't dream it... at least I think I didn't... It's quite natural really, her Kingdoms conquered, she has nothing, no one to protect her. She Needs me! I can see it in the way she looks at me. All I'd have to do is... Reach out and, take her hand... And she'd be mine! Why am I talking to myself?
  • Prince: How long have I been gone?
  • Farah: Gone? What are you talking about?
  • Prince: Never mind.
  • [the Prince has just told Farah his tale, when the Vizier enters]
  • Vizier: A fascinating tale, to be sure, but I have a different version: a warrior prince, seeking honor and glory, attempted to abduct the Maharajah's daughter, and was slain by me.
  • Prince: [showing his father the Dagger of Time] Father, I have brought us honor and glory!
  • Vizier: Your majesty, you promised me my choice of the Maharajah's treasures: that dagger!
  • King Shahraman: Surely you won't deny the boy a souvenir of his first battle? You may have your choice of the Maharajah's other treasures, except that hourglass! That will make a fine gift for the Sultan of Azad when we arrive at his kingdom. As well as some exotic animals for his menagerie. I want no animals or maidens harmed! Let it be known that King Shahraman is merciful in victory!
  • Prince: Never trust a man who betrays his master, or take him into your service, lest he betray you as well.
  • Vizier: Give me the dagger, and I will give you power! Eternal life will be yours!
  • Prince: To live forever... While those I love are dead and I to blame? I choose death!
  • [the Prince approaches the sand-flare]
  • Prince: You understand... don't you?
  • Farah: I do...
  • Vizier: Inside the hourglass is a marvel that no living man has seen. Alas only the dagger can unlock the sands of time, but it belongs to a greater one than I; a young prince dearer to his father then all the wealth of India. Perhaps he would oblige...
  • Farah: Wait... I don't even know your name!
  • Prince: Just call me Kakolukiya.
