It was also a joy to see Alberta Watson playing a mom, she scared the heck out of me when she played Madeline from `Nikita'. Writer Producers Davis & Laurin deliver great characters. I hope that this show us given a chance to build an audience.
The first season gave us a great theme song that matched the mood of the show, and all the characters worked well together. In the second season, they changed it all up and gave us a less believable lead FBI agent with forgettable supporting cast, and a crappy theme song change. The new people in charge at least left the same actress playing the psychic, but it took another 6 or 8 episodes for the new season cast get their rhythm down well.
Not a waste of time, but not a top-notch show.
Unfortunately, this season is almost unbearable to watch with the absolutely horrible acting by Vivica Fox. Her character is simply not believable as a senior FBI agent (at least not in the way she "acts" it). The secondary storyline of Fox's character with the hunky Mark Consuelos is also a bit contrived. Thank God for the over the top abrasiveness of their new supervisor (played to perfection by Justin Louis). The new supporting cast overall is good, but is not an improvement over the first season's. I'm giving it a couple more episodes before I give up on it.
"Missing" is like a really bad spin off of "1-800-Missing". It was a nice try, but REWIND and try again !!!
Vivica A. Fox was good in Two Can Play That Game but the jeans and heels attire took the integrity off her character in Missing and now even Caterina Scorsone is dressing the same! You can look older without looking trashy.
It could be that there is no 4th season due to the writing/directing but I had no complaints when Gloria Reuben was FBI agent Nicole Scott. I was hoping Gloria Reuben would replace Marianne Jean-Baptiste on Without a Trace but I was only disappointed, yet again, with the addition of Roselyn Sanchez.
Is there anything good left to watch?

- BlooperThroughout the first season, several agents refer to the Special Agent In Charge as the S-A-I-C, an acronym for the position. This position is known in the FBI as the SAC (pronounced sack) and is never spelled out as the characters do with S-A-I-C. The only variation on the acronym is for the Assistant Special Agent in Charge, or ASAC (pronounced a-sack).

Janey Cooper: Would you like a muffin?
Jess Mastriani: Oh, my God!
Janey Cooper: I make them myself.
Jess Mastriani: You're dead!
Janey Cooper: Try one.
Jess Mastriani: I don't want a muffin!
Janey Cooper: You have to be careful on this job, it could get you killed.
Jess Mastriani: No, it *did* get you killed, you're dead!
Janey Cooper: I'm not dead. If I were dead I wouldn't be able to look you in the eye and tell you, you are screwing up again.
