A very captivating movie about medical treatment, island life and human relationships with many touching moments.

Dr. Coto is a super kind and talented doctor who inspires passion and kindness in others. He treats everyone equally and with respect. Even though he is a very good doctor, he is not arrogant at all. Everyone loves him. Each episode is about a different patient.

The scenery of the island is beautiful and is a unique setting compared to other Japanese series. The soundtracks are nice too.

Overall, an idealistic outlook on doctors' life. This series will bring you peaceful feelings and hope in humanity.

Dr. Coto (Kensuke Goto) represents all those men who don't have a rugged expression, stoic look or angry face but rather hold softness in their features for which they're often called femboys or effeminate because they don't fulfill the attributes of traditional masculinity or conventional masculine beauty but despite it all, this show Dr. Coto's Clinic shows us that these men whom we call idealistic or rare are actually the ones who are more common, the regular ones yet never show their face at the forefront of our society but work in silence and their emotional intelligence isn't something to be glorified nor celebrated because expression is normal and must be normalised.

So men who are emotionally available, consistent, show up everyday, are determined, known by the choices they make and the actions that they take, are absolutely human just like you and me. Because healing isn't binary, it's a collection of chain events tied together like pearl beads and somehow we're all losing touch with our humanity while succumbing into this rat race of diplomatic professionalism.

All in all, his character (Dr. Coto) is an embodiment of quiet confidence, tenderness and an empath wrapped up with a steadfast atitude along with his astute ability to make quick judgments and decisions at hand.

Healing comprises not only biological diagnosis but also includes the ability to connect, understand and look beyond the symptoms of neuroscience while sinking deeper into one's Psychology and psyche, it's about realising that the body often reacts when the mind fails to respond which ends up in fight or flight and freeze or fawn. A true healer doesn't only fix but helps the wounded to navigate through the hurt, injuries and wounds while gently holding their hands, be it through medicines, rehabilitation, assurance or by being mindful in the moment.

Moreover, Dr. Coto despite being a man embodies the essence of nourishment, encouragement, inspiration and care which is the primary essence of divine feminine energy and is universally present in all of us despite the biological bodies with which we've been assigned into this lifetime.

People like him are more than surgeons who use forceps, scalpel or scissors to eliminate, abolish injuries or eradicate infections. Because the usage of hands in any aspect of life to create, sustain, adjust, adapt, adopt or retain is also strongly tied to the feminine energy which can heal, protect, nurture, nourish and resembles creativity and artistry.

The show is actually two seasons of 11 episodes each. The first year involved, the doctor getting to know people on the island and they're getting to know him and beginning to trust him after experience with bad doctors. The second season is a little more confusing, as the action moves between characters.

It's a lovely show. The main character is a wonderfully kind man who does his best. His support staff are great and all the people in the little town on the island are interesting and often moving.

The episode descriptions are all on Netflix if you watch it. I don't know how to copy them all onto episodes on IMDb. I hope the staff will make some effort to improve the accuracy of the information about the program.

I really love this show. And I love the characters. I hope other viewers will give it a try.
