MA 2412 - Die Staatsdiener

I don't understand the past comments. Sure this movie doesn't reach the standard of the series, but this wasn't the purpose of this movie. The sidekicks on the EU are very good and laughable, and the history connections are simply good! The Austrian movie standard isn't high, as one mentioned before, I disagree. There are some really good movies, also with Roland Dueringer and Alfred Dorfer, and also directed by Harald Sicheritz. Hinterholz 8 should be a better movie than this? I think the one who has written this comment, didn't understand this movie. Everybody who's excepting a 90min episode of MA2412 wouldn't like it. For everybody else, watch it and enjoy it. 8/10

To anyone who likes the TV series: forget the movie. The jokes are bad and some topics are much too sensitive to laugh about it.

We have seen much better acting by R. Dueringer in "Hinterholz 8".

they (dueringer, dorfer) are good stand-up comedians, young, not ugly, have money, the girls love them, the audience is appreciating everything there doing

and then they made this film ...

no story at all, some jokes were old in the fifties, the acting is awful. save your money for something useful, like a gift for your girlfriend.

Well... what can I say?

Several of the people who commented on this movie said it was bad - I have to disagree.

What they seem not to get is... well it seems like they expected the movie to be just a long version of an episode of MA 2412. Well it wasn't, and it wasn't intended to be.

I think the movie does just fine at what it tries to do, there's just a few things that I could have lived without (like Harald Krassnitzer being in the cast).

On the other hand there's scenes you just gotta love, like some of the conversations at the EU headquarters or especially Breitfuß and Weber meeting for the first time.

I think this film has an interesting concept and surely is worth seeing once if you liked the TV series or Dorfer and Düringer's work in general.
