Playboy: Girls of Hedonism, Runaway Bay Jamaica

Obviously, this is a soft porn video, so viewer discretion is advised. However, if you like pretty, natural looking women swimming and bathing nude, dancing and stripping then this vid is probably the best Playboy has ever put together.

I really don't understand the other review suggesting it is a promotional vid produced by the hedonism resort. The women (and men) featured are clearly models and not guests at the resort. All the 7 sequences are lengthy, well filmed and imaginatively put together, with a well chosen, sexy jazz/chillout soundtrack so much better than the soulless American rock which blights so many other Playboy videos.

I have seen several of the "Girls Of" things from Playboy but this is the first time I ever felt like I was was watching an R-Rated infomercial. The photography was definitely not up to Playboy standards and the whole episode seemed amateurish with the bad shots and the lack of focus in many of the scenes. The dialogue also left a lot to be desired.

It was almost like Hedonism III filmed the thing and then sold the film to Playboy ... or gave it to them hoping Playboy would air and sell the thing giving Hedonism a wider audience.

The only reason I gave this three stars is ... well, I guess the girls, but the cinematography wasn't that good so I am going back and changing it to two stars now before I post this.

For this video, Playboy gathered up a bunch of models and headed to Jamaica for a change of scenery. 'Girls of Hedonism' is partially shot at a resort that they name drop, but it never becomes a running ad thank goodness. Good editing, fine production values and decent music tracks complement this title which is one of the best I've honestly seen.

"The Villa" features a model (Lucie Faubert) with a tanned, petite figure in a white top and green skirt, but also shown on the beach in a blue bikini. She gets naked first then a massage from a guy with oil and every part of her body gets attention in this decent lead off scene (7 mins). "Ruby Fruit Jungle" has three ladies (Nina Camille, Sydney Moon, Selena Sylva) that end up on a bed placed conveniently in the jungle for them. They remove each others clothes and each girl gets the full body treatment. A LOT of great close-ups before they end up in the water where there's fantastic shots of Sydney's butt bent over with other ladies on each side of her. Both Nina and Selena get nice behind shots too as well as some attention paid to the natural bust of Sydney and a bunch of touching. A very hot scene and I enjoyed seeing Nina again after Playboy's 'Lusty Latin Ladies' (8 mins).

"Sex on the Beach" in a lot of ways is your typical boy/girl where the lady (Brandee Sky Beauregard) strips out of a thong bikini and the guy feels her up. There's plenty of close-ups and they end up on a bed, but I wasn't prepared for full male nudity however. Didn't know Playboy did that. The more important part is Brandee has a killer body which gets shown off again after being in Playboy's "Girls of Mardi Gras' (7 mins).

"Wish You Were Here" is three awesome poolside beauties (Kat Oberle, Lisa Wagner, Stacie Morrissette) in and out of bikinis with a chill music soundtrack. Stacie slowly removes her thong bikini bottoms which is hot. Very pleasant scene, lots of smiles and also has a unique visual dynamic. Both Kat and Lisa are light-skinned while Stacie is the white girl of the trio in the middle. Lots of close-ups, a few underwater shots and they lay on towels and apply lotion. An excellent segment (7 mins).

"Blue Lagoon" is a boy/girl near a waterfall that supplies nice shots of Dawn McFall solo, but too much of the guy (6.5 mins). "Caribbean Heat" features a photoshoot going on at a pool where the models (Tracy Ryan, Yvette Michael) kiss & touch leading to some nice visuals between their two bodies in the sun (6.5 mins).

"The Rave" wraps things at an indoors dance party with upbeat music. There's quite a crowd in addition to the models (Monica Mendez, Lucie Faubert, Selena Sylva, Genevieve Michelle). Monica and Genevieve get the solo treatment first followed by Lucie and Selena. Monica looking great as always and I appreciated seeing Lucie again. They all slowly strip from their clothes (solo, crowd shots) and Genevieve's butt gets some deserved attention. I guess much the same could be said for Monica a few seconds after as she peels out of her thong bent over giving us a very nice view. Lots of fine closeups once again. If you love light skinned beauties this is your scene (7.5 mins).

The end features some behind the scenes and I appreciate how they did the credits allowing for easy id of the models. 'Girls of Hedonism' ended up as one of the most satisfying Playboy videos I've had the pleasure to watch with excellent replay value. "Ruby Fruit Jungle", "Wish You Were Here" & "The Rave" all deserve another shout out.
