Gianna Nannini’s life has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride. Netflix unveiled a new lineup of Italian fiction series and feature films at the streamer’s “See What’s Next” event in Rome on Tuesday.

Alongside previously announced shows and returning series, the upcoming slate includes two new feature films and a pair of drama series.

The new films are Il treno dei bambini (The Children’s Train) from director Cristina Comencini (Latin Lover, Don’t Tell) and Fabbricante di lacrime (Maker of Tears) by Alessandro Genovesi (My Big Gay Italian Wedding). The first is an adaptation of the epic bestseller of the same name by Viola Ardone, a based-on-a-true-events tale of the children in post-World War II Italy who were sent from deprivation in the south to live with their families in the north of the country. The second is inspired by Erin Doom’s novel about two very different orphans with similarly traumatic pasts who are adopted together by the same new family.

Veteran Italian auteur Silvio Soldini is set to direct “The Tasters,” which will reconstruct the true untold story of the women conscripted to be Adolf Hitler’s food tasters.

The Nazi-era drama — which will mark Soldini’s first foray into German-language cinema — is based on the bestselling book “At the Wolf’s Table,” by Italian author Rosella Pastorino, about a group of women who were recruited by the SS in 1943 to make sure that food to be served to Hitler was not poisoned. Forced to eat what might kill them, the tasters start to split into two factions: those loyal to Hitler, and those who insist they aren’t Nazis, even as they risk their lives everyday for the Führer. “At the Wolf’s Table” has been translated in 46 countries.

“Avengers: Infinity War” can check off yet another record: The second-highest second weekend of all time.

Disney and Marvel’s latest collaboration earned $112.5 million from 4,474 locations in its second frame. The 56% decline was just enough to top the record previously held by fellow Marvel title “Black Panther,” which made $111.6 million in its second weekend. 2015’s “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” still holds the prize for biggest second weekend with a mighty $149 million. Only five films have ever hit the $100 million-mark in their second weekends.

In just North America, the superhero mashup has made $450.8 million. It made $162.6 million internationally for a global weekend total of $275.1 million. Among “Infinity War’s” numerous accomplishments is being the fastest film to gross $1 billion, in just 11 days. And the film has yet to open in China.

Disney and Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War will dominate yet again this weekend, and while it's unlikely it will have much of a shot at the largest second weekend ever, a shot at the second largest is well within reach as it pushes toward $450 million domestic and over $1 billion worldwide. In terms of new releases, there isn't anything hitting theaters that should cause the superhero film to lose audience, though look for Pantelion's Overboard remake to score a solid debut while Tully and Bad Samaritan should deliver openings in the low-to-mid single digits. Following Infinity War's $257.7 million debut, looking at the five previous $200+ million openers, the second weekend drops range from 39.8% for The Force Awakens to 67.5% for Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
