Rented from NetFlix, I think it was their only copy

I don't want to say lower than 5, because I did I mean it was my choice to rent it so any lower might reflect negatively on me :-/ In any case, I liked it a lot more than my wife, there were a few totally ridiculous comments or situations such as the two new lovers talking about shitting on the chest ?? It makes no sense and it struck me as funny. The sheep stuff is funny briefly but they keep coming back to it.

Mostly I was annoyed about the poor sound control... I kept having to turn it up or down. :-( Also, I notice it is 2003, for some reason Netflix said 2005, maybe that is when someone made the poor decision to release on DVD? Finally, it took Netflix almost a week to get this DVD to me, normally it is like a day. They said they are sending from Texas where this was shot.. perhaps NetFlix only has one copy? If so congratulate them.

Roaring good time!

Strangeheart is bure comedic brilliance! The theater was packed and the audience really seemed to enjoy the film. The relatively low budget was more than compensated for with imagination and over the top performances.

There were a few slow spots, but overall it is one side-splitting scene after another. I almost blew beer out my nose during several scenes!

If you are in the mood for some good fun and lots of laughs, go see Strangeheart. I think this movie is on its way to becoming an international sensation!

Loved it!

This film was really well made. I couldn't stop laughing through half of the film. Have told several friends and plan to go see it again. It has some Monty Python-esque elements in it which are timed JUST right. I highly recommend going to see this one.

Surreal

This film was the funniest and most surreal thing I have seen in years. When William Wallace is having a dream sequence there is actually a sheep in a purple teddy, a pink boa, and a sheep's mask on. Wallace peels the sheep's mask back to see the sheep underneath. I laughed so hard I start hyperventilating. It helps if you have seen Braveheart since it is a spoof of that film, but it is still funny if you haven't. I really like the fact that it was a spoof that was done respectfully. You could tell that the film makers weren't poking fun at Mel Gibson or making the Braveheart out to be a bad film, they were just having fun with a different perspective of the William Wallace legend. It really reminded me of the Holy Grail. This movie really needs to be seen by everyone. You will either absolutely love, it like I did, or you will hate it.

Too Good to Miss!!!

Whether you loved or hated Braveheart... who cares. This film is HILARIOUS!!! Raw undiscovered talent and clever, perverse writing carry you through Wallace's self-inquiry into his sexual identity. Need I say more? This is a MUST see! Welcome back to the age of forgotten pure comedy.

Fun movie, A- for effort

I really wish I could be there, in one of these two pubs around Dallas, on the very evening one of these guys first came up with the idea of making a "Braveheart" movie.

"Heyyy, just that you know, the next round is on me, and tomorrow you will show up in my backyard for a historical movie!!" "Yay!" He must have been quite convincing as an impressive number of extras showed up in some of the big scenes... but then, maybe it was the beer Guinness donated...

The result is great for what it is, the acting is what you would expect it to be, the gags and the ripping is inventive and sometimes absolutely crazy, and there are even a few dance and music numbers - watch out for the English King's performance! Hilarious. Only the sound could have used some post-production work.

IF I hadn't seen a comparable fan /spoof movie called "STAR WRECK - IN THE PIRKINNING" a week earlier, I would have awarded this Strangeheart a golden A+ for effort, but what those Star Trek fans achieved is mesmerizing, professional and mind-boggling fun. Maybe - considering Strangehearts tagline - those Finnish Trek fans were a little more sober...?

My Stomach Hurt

The theater was packed and everyone was laughing so hard I missed some of the jokes. My face hurt so bad from laughing I almost cried. I can't believe they actually pulled this off. Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!!!

Bravo!!

What a ridiculous riot! This low budget film is very entertaining, clever and funny!! It reminded me of the days of Monte Python and the has the potential to cultivate a following that enjoys audience participation. Sir William Wallace has a crush on sheep and the Kings off spring aren't sure if they are really gay! The old world meets new world slap-stick comedy is sure to get you going. This film is easily one you will want to see more than once! At the premier, all throughout the film, the whole theater was cracking up, cheering and clapping!! I think it helps if you have seen Braveheart or know the story so you can appreciate all the cleverness the film delivers! Since I saw some of the actual filming, I was so curious to see how in the world it would all come together? It is definitely a creative & funny success! Congratulations Brian!! & Good luck in New York!!
