Stargåte Infinity

This has to be the WORST cartoon spin-off in the HISTORY of TV/Cartoon tie-ins. Set years into the future from the original StarGate SG-1 series, this first episode opens with the lamest opening music since time began. The animation is cleared drawn by colour-blind monkeys with felt-tip pens placed between their toes.

For christ sake, what were you people thinking with this complete and utter waste of air-time.

The only time this will play in my house again is to punish my children.

Now He-Man, ReBoot and Thundercats are REAL cartoons.

Write that down!

The moment I heard the theme music, I knew it was going to be bad, but I had no idea. The characters are/looks so stupid! They need to cut those cheesy Evangelion-looking suits and go back to fatigues. Thank goodness for Stargate SG-1.

While I have younger siblings who find the SG-1 and atlantis shows intriguing, they are way below the age of the targeted demographic and therefore scared by many of the shows' occurrences. As such I thought to test the story lines of these animated versions for their consumption. I was grossly disappointed with the loss of integrity in the show's mythos as well as moral. Stargate has always been a good v evil battle, but the moral of the story was relatable to human emotions. This animated stuff is purely poorly written ani-crap that seems to have been produced for no other reason than to attempt to capitalize off the younger markets. My dear SG-I producers, you missed the point. The kids who were watching Sg-1 and A are smart kids. There's no need to dumb down a program due to general American demographic statistics. Keep the programs smart and you'll keep the people interested. The length of the Sg-1's seasons run should indicate that.

The Stargate universe is so vast and interesting that a cartoon could have potentially been a good compliment to the live action shows, but this was just a miserable piece of junk.

They pretty much threw out all previously established canon from the movie and first 4-5 seasons of SG1, and created something that has no relevance whatsoever to the movie or TV show.

If I was a kid when I saw this I don't think I would have been any more impressed, and I would probably think "stargate sucks" because of it, and not give the real shows a chance.

I think what sums it up best is a quote from one of the characters as she looked upon a small amorphous blob of goo: "Do you think it could be one of the Ancients!?" What the hell were they thinking?

I didn't think that it could be quite as bad as it was. This is possibly the worst cartoon on television at the moment. Just because it's made for children isn't an excuse not to make it well.

This is quite simply a disservice to the Stargate name, and not suitable for children due to the extremely poor quality. We need decent childrens cartoons!
