I agree with one of the other reviewers here - I actually REALLY enjoyed the whole show a lot and thought that Yancey Arias was terrific in his role - I think we will see a lot more from this young man!
But the last episode left me very unsatisfied. If this was SUPPOSED to be a 6 part mini series then the ending was one of the worst I have ever seen - if it's supposed to become a series - well then OK.
I also read yesterday that NBC "cancelled" Kingpin which obviously suggests that it was supposed to go on. I can't imagine why they would have canccelled it since I didn't meet a single person that I know who didn't think that this was an awesome show.

Does anyone with Santeria knowledge know the meaning behind Lupita mixing her blood with paint, and then painting her brothers face? This was at the end of the episode. Also, what is the significance of the three coins on the chain? Overall it was a boring episode, too much time spent develping Brian Benben's character, but hopefully it will heat up in the next episode. The lead actor, Yancey, is reason enough for me to watch...meow!
I watched ever episode and loved it. I love "Mafia" theme shows and movies. It was more realistic than most people would realize. I loved the cast choices. I think it had lots of potential for a series on TV. We need a primetime "Mafia" series again that is broadcasted on NBC, CBS, FOX or ABC (not HBO).
I was pleasantly surprised at just how much I enjoyed this mini-series. It has the right amount soap, drama & action and stellar acting performances all around. The only down side was 3 weeks went by way to fast, but I will definitely watch again when BRAVO airs the un-edited version in March. Let's hope the powers that be at NBC bring this back as a series.
This show was the best show on tv. Too bad NBC didn't have the guts to keep it on tv. The show was great. The actors did an excellent job. The writers for the show came up with someone to keep you wanting to watch tv. This show is better than Sopranos. Yes it is a little edgy for network tv, but with the time slot that it was on made it ok. For the network tv they cut a lot out of the show that is shown on the DVD set. The DVD set shows how the producers wanted the show to be. Hopefully HBO will pick this show up and air it. Then it will have a network that won't be afraid to show it. For anyone that likes the Sopranos or Godfather will love this show and I highly recommend it. Miguel is cool and smart while Chato takes care of the dirty work.

- QuizA full weekly series was planned. But low ratings for this miniseries caused those plans to be cancelled.
