My mates got me a copy of this from a going-out-of-business sale at a video shop in the mid-90s. We had already seen Get the Terrorists a Number of Times and knew that this movie had the goods.
I am proud to have a VHS copy and it continues to be more than sufficient in the interminable wait for the Bluray release.
Personally, I strongly identify with Strobe Walker and wish he was granted his own spin-off franchise. Such multi-dimensional (emotionally vulnerable yet skull-crushingly powerful) characters are lacking in post-Nashville cinema.
Get The Terrorists is my favourite 80s action movie and I endorse it both as a movie and as a way of life.

....although sadly, after such a joyous start the majority of the film struggles to deliver the requisite action goods.
The plot here concerns an anti American terrorist group headed by George Nicholas (Sakura Killers, Ninja in The USA) calling themselves People For Freedom who set about blowing up and shooting various folks for reasons best known to themselves.
Craig Alan who genre fans will instantly recognise as the hero in the infinitely superior Commander, stars as one of a group of hired mercenaries charged to wipe out the organisation.
Sadly, the action is for the most part, badly handled throughout with very little of any interest transpiring until the final twenty or so minutes. However, to be equitable, these final twenty minutes are great fun with plenty of explosions and gunfire exchanges with one especially cool scene featuring Alan charging down a hillside, leaping into the air and firing off his semi-automatic weapon (and subsequently killing some hiding soldiers) whilst in mid flight(!)
Certainly worth a watch but my advice is to skip straight to the final third of the flick; Trust me, you'll thank me for it.
