Galiyon Kaa Badshah review :

A delayed 1990 release and Smita Patil's last release in her own voice.

Raaj Kumar played the titular role of Robinhood styled chor who distributes his loot to the poor. It is probably one of the few films where he is bare chested in many scenes. Smita was one of his heroines and she played a prostitute in the film. Hema Malini and Poonam Dhillon were the other two heroines romancing Jaani Raaj Kumar. Mithun Chakraborty had a small role of Jaani's galli ka friend who turns moviestar in the end. Aruna Irani was the main villain with the lusty Ranjeet as her henchman. The movie was delayed for close to a decade and the final product looked badly edited with improper flow to the narrative. A box office disaster.

Galiyon Ka Baadshah Directed By Sher Jung Singh is An Action Crime Thriller. Script is Inadequate & Poor. Screenplay is Awful With Worst Editing Ever. Action is Just Fine. Dialogues Are Pathetic & Cliché. Direction is Very Weak.

Raja(Rajkumar), Sikander(Mithun Chakraborty), Billo(Hema Malini) & Tulsi(Smita Patil) Are Friends, Grown Up in The Slums Of Mumbai. Raja is Hard Working Worker in A Factory. Sikander Has A Dream To Make A Film, But He is Selling Toothpaste On Street For Living. Billo Loves Raja & Dreams To Have A Better House. Tulsi is A Prostitute Having Feelings For Raja.

On The Other Hand We Have Ram(Rajkumar) A Millionaire, Raja And Ram Are Prime Suspect When A Con Known As "Roti Chor" Resembles Him. Roti Chor Loots Money From Wealthy People & Distributes Them To The Needy People. Inspector Madhu(Poonam Dhillon) Along With Inspector Vijay(Danny Danzongpa) Are Trying To Solve This Mystery.

Acting Wise, Raj Kumar is Known For His Dialogues, But The Dialogues Are Poorly Written, In Other Words He Looks Weak. Mithun is Just Wasted By Inserting Him Here And There. Same Goes With Hema Malini & Smita Patil, Both Are As Usual Nothing To Talk About. Poonam Dhillon & Danny Danzongpa Are Just Fine.

Music By Kalyanji Anandji is Forgettable. No Good Songs Nothing. Overall, Nothing Works Not Even The Huge Star Cast.
