Inside the Weird, Wild American Sounds of Dutch Interior
Image
There’s a peculiar rhythm to a Dutch Interior song, one that never quite settles where you’d expect it to. Guitars jangle and lurch, drums press forward then pull back, vocals arrive a half-step late or early, as if someone’s letting you in on something they’ve just realized themselves. The music of this six-piece L.A. County band feels loose on purpose, and it’s held together by something intuitive, a shared language that doesn’t need translating.

Dutch Interior’s members have known each other for years,...

“I began to get some pretty boring stuff”: Underrated $202M Arnold Schwarzenegger Movie May Have Made Linda Hunt Thankful for NCIS: Los Angeles
Image
Arnold Schwarzenegger was the bonafide action star of the ‘80s and ‘90s, but he never shied away from exploring other genres. The actor especially excelled in comedies, collaborating with actors like Danny DeVito and Sinbad to craft some jolly-good comedies in the ‘80s and the ‘90s, while simultaneously beating up bad guys.

One of them was the underrated action-comedy Kindergarten Cop, where he played an undercover police detective posing as a kindergarten teacher. The film was a commercial success, and Schwarzenegger was praised for his acting chops. However, his co-star Linda Hunt implied that her role was too ‘boring’ and made her thankful for NCIS: Los Angeles.

Thing Are Heating Up for Bode on Fire Country Season 3 Episode 11, And We’re Not Talking About the Dragon
Image
We have to hand it to Fire Country because this series is on a roll with some truly unexpected writing.

Every time it seemed like the show was reverting to old habits, it pivoted to truly inspiring storytelling.

I know a lot of Gabriela and Bode shippers out there are feeling some kind of way after the ending, but there was too much love in the air not to get on board.

(Sergei Bachlakov/CBS)

Besides, it may not have been a box of chocolates, but what woman wouldn’t swoon after being rescued by a fire-breathing (animatronic) dragon?

Fire Country still has room for improvement, but the story, character development, and direction of the series have made noticeable improvements overall.

So, let’s just go ahead and get a few things that could have used a bit more magic on this medieval episode out of the way.

The Rookie Season 7 Episode 6 Review: Chenford Brings the Spice on Valentine’s Day
Image
For Valentine’s Day, The Rookie Season 7 Episode 6 wanted to deliver, and they wasted no time with their developments for many of the coveted characters.

Chenford took a step forward, or, perhaps it’s more sideways, in their relationship, while Wopez is in the clear, and Nyla and James remain a mystery.

However, Nolan and Bailey are in deep shiitake mushrooms right now.

(Disney/Mike Taing) Never Bring a Crowbar to a Gunfight

Nolan and Celina’s quest to track down one man’s daughter was the hour’s primary case. However, interestingly, they managed to wrap it up so quickly.

Often, The Rookie will introduce some potentially compelling cases, and you’d anticipate them to have some longevity or evolve into something that’ll take more than an installment. Somehow, they wrap it up by the hour’s end.

‘It’s Not a Tumor’: Revisiting Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic ‘Kindergarten Cop’
Arnold Schwarzenegger
Image Source: Universal Pictures Home Entertainment While Arnold Schwarzenegger is best known for his action-packed filmography, it’s easy to forget he has a knack for comedy, too. Movies like Twins, Junior, Jingle All the Way, and Kindergarten Cop proved he could flex his funny bone just as much as his biceps. And yes, we can’t help but give a wink to Batman & Robin—an unintentional comedy gem for some. Among these lighter roles, Kindergarten Cop stands out as a personal favorite for Schwarzenegger. At the time of the film’s release he said that working with the energetic and unpredictable child actors made filming the movie a blast. My Spy The Eternal City Review
Image
Plot: When Sophie’s high school choir is selected for an Italian tour culminating in a performance for the Pope in Vatican City, JJ sees this as an opportunity to bond with his new stepdaughter, so he volunteers to help chaperone the group through the Venetian canals, across Florence’s renowned bridges and into Rome’s most historic sites. Instead he finds that he and Sophie have become unwitting pawns in a terrorist plot that could end the world as we know it.

Review: My Spy originally debuted at the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic after being pulled from release in August 2019. With mediocre reviews, the Dave Bautista-led action-comedy was solid family entertainment when audiences sorely needed new things to watch. Four years later, Dave Bautista and Chloe Coleman have reunited for a sequel that is bigger and better than the original but still nowhere near as good as it should be.

1 Year Ago, Elder Scrolls Gave us the Most Badass Npc in Gaming History That Makes Every Hidetaka Miyazaki Game Look Like Kindergarten
Image
It’s impossible to talk about MMOs without mentioning The Elder Scroll Online(Eso). The way Bethesda has molded the genre with Elder Scrolls Online can’t overstated. The developers have given players an Mmo no other title in the genre can compete against.

Last year, a new chapter unfolded in the history of Elder Scrolls Online with High Isle, which brought players to the ancestral homeland of the Breton race. Bethesda crafted tons of eye-catching trailers for High Isle, and one of those gave us a look at an Npc that can put everything created by Hidetaka Miyazaki to shame.

Elder Scroll Online’s Nameless Knight Which Won Our Hearts Nameless Knight from High Isle trailer | Bethesda

There’s no doubt that Hidetaka Miyazaki has created some of the most iconic characters that have gone down in gaming history. However, when Bethesda announced High Isle Dlc for Elder Scrolls Online,...

“Too grim for children and too cloying for adults”: Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Controversial Decision Resulted in a $25 Million Loss
Image
Arnold Schwarzenegger, the famous Hollywood action star, has a net worth of $400 million. However, some risky decisions may have affected his wealth.

For instance, take the movie Kindergarten Cop. Even though the film was a huge success, according to the former-bodybuilder, it could have earned $25 million more.

Kindergarten Cop (1990)

Kindergarten Cop follows the story of John Kimble, a tough cop played by Schwarzenegger. In the movie, Kimble goes undercover as a kindergarten teacher to track down the ex-wife and son of a dangerous drug lord, who are in hiding.

Its legacy is a complex one. While it did well financially, it also stirred up discussions about what’s appropriate for children in movies. While some people enjoyed its humor, others were concerned about the level of violence it portrayed.

“Eerie, Indiana” – Five Quintessential Episodes of the 1990s Series You Need to Watch
Image
There’s something about Eerie, Indiana that brings out even more early ’90s nostalgia than a pair of Mc Hammer pants or A.C. Slater slamming you into a locker. Right up there with Are You Afraid of the Dark? as some of the all-time best gateway TV horror for kids, Eerie always felt like a must watch if you could catch it on Disney or eventually Saturday mornings on Fox Kids Network. The show idea was simple and easy to relate to when you were a kid because every adult in suburbia seemed weird as fuck at the time. Hell, they still do.

In the show, Marshall Teller (Omri Katz) and his friend Simon (Justin Shenkarow) investigate the weird and possibly sinister happenings of their neighborhood and as usual… the adults never believe them.

Eerie, Indiana is jam packed with Halloween atmosphere and horror goodness and it just so...

Image
Voxtrot came back together for a reunion tour last year, and now they have dropped “Another Fire,” their first new single in 14 years. Stream it below.

“Another Fire” is the first preview of Voxtrot’s sessions in Lockhart, Texas, where all five original members — Ramesh Srivastava, Jason Chronis, Matt Simon, Mitch Calvert, and Jared Van Fleet — convened in early 2023 for a recording session. A peppy pop rock track, it features soaring vocals from Srivastava as he sings, “And no you never knew how human life could change you/ Into something else, just hungry for the kill/ You’re the one true hero/ Dancing in the beauty of another fire, another fire, another fire.”

Watch the accompanying video, directed by Srivastava and filmed in Lockhart, below.

Srivastava spoke about the impetus for their reunion last year. “I had a dream where we were onstage and it was really positive,” he said.

No Kidding, Arnold Schwarzenegger Loved Going To ‘Kindergarten’
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito in I gemelli (1988)
Even thour’s body of work is mostly remembered for his action movies, it’s worth remembering that he did quite a bit of comedy, too. Twins, Junior, Jingle All the Way, and Kindergarten Cop were all successful films that showed off Schwarzenegger’s less serious side. Kindergarten Cop ranks up there as one of Schwarzenegger’s favorite film experiences, at the time of the movie’s release he told us it was because he had a lot of fun working with all of the children who appeared in the movie. Arnold Schwarzenegger Blasts Oscars 2021 Ceremony for Being 'So Boring'
Image
The 93rd Annual Academy Awards was not without its controversy on Sunday night, and even Arnold Schwarzenegger was among its many critics. For many fans, the ending of the show was a particularly big problem as people were expecting Chadwick Boseman to win Best Actor only for Anthony Hopkins to get the honor. The reveal drew many comparisons to 2017's infamous Oscars flub involving Moonlight and La La Land.

Others have complained about the Oscars for other reasons. There has been criticism that the show was, for lack of a better word, "boring." This has been attributed to various reasons, including the lack of traditional movie clips and no time limit enforced on acceptance speeches. This is an opinion shared by Schwarzenegger, as The Terminator star regaled on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

"I was asked several times, did I watch the Oscars? I told people, I said, 'I watched maybe one third of it.

Lin-Manuel Miranda is currently living in the past. Or maybe it’s that, at this particular moment in time, the past just seems to keep catching up with him, tapping him on the shoulder, nudging him in the ribs. The 40-year-old playwright/actor/director/producer has spent the previous week watching Hamilton — the musical about one of our nation’s founding fathers that went from off-Broadway hit to Broadway gamechanger to cultural phenomenon — once again become a heavily debated, must-see national obsession, courtesy of a four-year-old idea.
