The next Disney+ show from The Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau reportedly has a disappointingly lean episode count. After helping craft the characters and world of the Pedro Pascal-led Star Wars series, Favreau is headed back to streaming with the upcoming Oswald the Lucky Rabbit show. The new series, centered on the oft-forgotten Disney mascot, is shooting in Disneyland with MCU actress Kathryn Hahn as one of its stars.
While not much is known about the upcoming Disney+ series, it has been reported that it could be one of the shortest series ever on the streamer. The exact reason for this paltry episode count has not been disclosed, but it...

Steve Martin celebrated his landmark 80th birthday on Thursday, and he marked the occasion by spending the day shooting a scene at Disneyland. Speaking on Saturday at the Television Academy’s Televerse festival, Martin shared why filming at that location, on that day, meant so much to him.
“I shot a little one-day scene at Disneyland on my birthday, August 14, two days ago, and it was in the magic shop where I worked when I was 15,” he told the audience gathered for an “Only Murders in the Building” Emmy FYC event at Televerse. “I’m standing on the exact same spot that I stood on when I was 15! And I said, ‘it’s like going to work when you’re 15, and then coming home from work and you’re 80.”

Fans got a first look at the titular character for an upcoming Disney+ series, and the character in question will likely be the House of Mouse's next Grogu. Grogu instantly became a fan-favorite when he debuted in the premiere episode of The Mandalorian. Since his introduction, Grogu has been a cornerstone for Disney's marketing, with the company relying on him to sell a lot of merchandise.
Set photos from Disneyland in California recently surfaced from the production of an upcoming Disney+ series working under the codename "Ink and Paint." A small, practical effects-style puppet (similar to how Grogu was brought to life in The Mandalorian) of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit could be seen in one of the photos.

Kathryn Hahn locked in her Disney+ return, with a new series coming from MCU veteran Jon Favreau. Hahn made her Disney+ debut in 2021's WandaVision, playing the villainous Agatha Harkness opposite Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch. She has since starred in her own spell-binding streaming show, Agatha All Along, and even lent her voice to the animated What If...? series for good measure.
And it looks as though the fan-favorite actress is going nowhere, with yet another Disney+ title already on the docket. While it may not be the project fans would expect from the MCU star, with rumors of a potential Champions or Young Avengers series on the mind, it is an exciting venture featuring veteran Disney talent.

Jon Favreau’s upcoming Disney+ series centered on Oswald the Lucky Rabbit has added Amy Sedaris to its cast, Variety has learned.
Sedaris is the latest addition to the show, joining young leads Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Mykal-Michelle Harris, and Ryder Allen. Exact plot details are being kept under wraps, aside from the fact that show will be an animation/live-action hybrid centered on Oswald. According to sources, Sedaris will play the mother of Allen’s character, Taylor.
The role marks the latest collaboration between Sedaris and Favreau. Sedaris previously appeared in the film “Chef,” which Favreau wrote and directed in addition to playing the lead role. Sedaris then voiced a Guinea Fowl in Favreau’s 2019 remake of “The Lion King.” In television, Sedaris has played the character Peli Motto in Favreau’s Disney+ “Star Wars” shows “The Mandalorian” and “The Book of Boba Fett.”

Gotham Knights was released in 2022 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, and it was an interesting take on the Bat family. Hardcore fans of the DC franchise looked at the game and thought one performance had a striking resemblance to another adaptation in live-action; however, the voice actor claims it was all a coincidence.

The gaming community had high hopes for Gotham Knights; unfortunately, it failed to resonate with the fans. While the game had its share of shortcomings, the same can’t be said about the voice acting performances. Each cast member brought their best to the table and sent the gaming community into the streets of Gotham as they fight Batman’s rogues gallery. One of those villains in Oswald Cobblepot, better known as the Penguin.

Back in 2022, audiences took a journey through the dark, twisted, and hopeless streets of a reimagined Gotham City. While there are always big expectations behind any project involving the Caped Crusader, few could've imagined just how much of a masterpiece Matt Reeves' The Batman would be. Robert Pattinson's portrayal of the character was simply spot on, the narrative was filled with many twists and turns impossible to predict, and The Riddler was a great antagonist, even when he's a very difficult villain to adapt on the big screen. To say anticipation was at an all-time high to see more of these characters would be an understatement. Thankfully, fans got exactly what they wanted.
The Penguin HBO miniseries picked things up right where the movie left off. Lauren LeFranc crafted a dark and violent project that perfectly shines the spotlight on Cristin Milioti's Sofia Falcone and Colin Farrell's Oswald Cobblepot.

From the moment The Penguin season 1 came to an end, fans have been eagerly waiting for confirmation from HBO on whether the breakout series could return for a second season. And we can’t fault fans for their eagerness to see another season of the series.

The first season was one of the best superhero genre programs to ever grace the screen and The Penguin has become a rare series within the space to receive both critical and fan acclaim, becoming one of the most celebrated comic book series in TV history.

The Hunger Games series has become extremely popular and iconic. More than 100 million of the books have been sold, and a sixth movie is currently in development. The dark and thrilling stories in the series have captivated audiences by showing an oppressed society where children are forced to fight each other in televised games.
However, Suzanne Collins, the author of The Hunger Games, didn't just publish the series right as she graduated from college. She began her career in a much different way, writing lighthearted TV shows for children, as well as a few animated movies. The Batman spinoff series The Penguin is arguably one of the most anticipated projects of 2024. However, showrunner Lauren LeFranc says the series will be more than just a continuation of Matt Reeves' story.
Speaking to Total Film, LeFranc explained how the show gave her a chance to include more complex female characters in the crime genre. "Very few women have been able to write these kinds of movies or television shows," showrunner said. "I think my perspective on Oz, and masculinity in general, is different. And that made me also want to surround him with really interesting, complicated women. In traditional crime dramas, rarely are the women as interesting as the men. So I took this as an opportunity to see what had been done before me, to respect and honor the genre, and then to also evolve it."

Oswald Down the Rabbit Hole is a more promising Mickey Mouse horror movie than Mickey's Mouse Trap. The original mascot for the Walt Disney Company was Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, not Mickey Mouse. Founded by Walt Disney and his brothers in October 1923, the Walt Disney Company embarked on a journey that would forever shape the entertainment industry. Unfortunately, by 1927, the fledgling studio faced considerable financial challenges. Their groundbreaking and highly profitable animated masterpiece, Snow White, was still a decade away from captivating audiences. The studio found itself in dire straits, desperately seeking a reliable source of income to sustain its operations and fuel its growth.
Enter Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, a creation of Walt Disney himself, alongside his talented animator, Ub Iwerks. While Mickey Mouse went on to achieve global fame and became the enduring symbol of Disney, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit's significance cannot be overstated. Oswald's contribution to Disney's early years as a source of income and inspiration underscores the resilience, creativity, and determination that define Disney's enduring legacy.

With less than three weeks to go until Gotham begins its third season, vital details continue to pour in. The latest comes in the form of the premiere episode’s synopsis that also divulges its foreboding title: “Mad City: Better to Reign in Hell…”
Aside from sharing that name with a great song by Cradle of Filth, fans of classic literature will recognize it from John Milton’s Paradise Lost, with the full quote being, “Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven.” Seeing as how villains will continue to run roughshod over the city until a certain Caped Crusader lays claim to the night, that title seems consistent with recent news regarding the upcoming season’s tone.
Something interesting to note in the synopsis is the absence of Maggie Geha as the aged up Poison Ivy. Clare Foley is the only one listed to be playing that character,...
