I get it. This show comes from hell, just like TTG does. But this show IS TTG. THIS. And why are there fart jokes and cat puns in the show anyway? It just makes no sense. At least it isn't, but it's somewhat inspired from this creature of a show. Not really surprised.
I've watched this 1993 pilot cartoon based on the infamous feline video game character named Bubsy (as we know) on YouTube before. It's not very good as the other 1990s cartoons. I've heard it never got its full series due to its very negative reviews. Thank goodness. That's why I really don't like Bubsy because he's incredibly annoying. It's probably the worst tv pilot episode I've ever watched.
The characters just never calm down in this pilot cartoon especially Bubsy and his bratty nephew and niece themselves. At least Virgil and Arnold are the only likeable and tolerable characters I think.
I am not watching it again ever. I'm sure it's utterly rubbish.

Several cartoon of the 90s often tried to be "hip" and "cool" in attempt to gather has much young audience has they could. Characters with attitude and lots of slapstick, catchphrases. Though some did win its audience and later gained fanbase, some were were absolute duds and would years later become cringe to those who actually sat through them in their childhoods.
And if Bubsy, for some calamitous reason, did get green lit and had whole series, the memories would have been insufferable.
This single was unbearable enough.

Definitely needs 20 more seasons!
Bubsy's Animated pilot is insufferable like the game series, Accolade thought they could be the pinnacle of the platformer genre in the Sonic bandwagon if being the coolest mascot by the insane amount of marketing, and they failed miserably.
The characters are cliche and annoying, its formulaic and the comedy/charm is pathetically wrong since it's full of unfunny humor & tries to use cutaway gags & slapstick but was executed so desperately for comedic entertainment.
This was aired by the time when the Battletoads pilot was aired in Thanksgiving 1993, its twice the pain for video game cartoons since Sonic was the only successful mascot with his 2 cartoons at the same time.
The best parts about this is the catchy 90s styled instrumental theme song, Arnold is a relatable and likable character, Bozwell wanting to cook the brats & Bubsy and his obnoxious friends which could've been the best ending for this trainwreck, the joke that made sense like Arnold's quote at the start of this pilot: "No! Bubsy, worse than a truck". Which is what ya'll should take from this.

I love Bubsy the Bobcat. He's so cute and funny. His video game was loads of fun and I thought he had major potential to be a big star (and maybe still). Plus I loved his T-Shirt with the big red exclamation mark!
This TV pilot however was far too-dated for 1993 and didn't think ahead. The animation, music and characters were very late-80s in design and story line was too whacked-out with no internal logic. And while I love Bubsy's trademark 'What Can Possibly Go Wrong?' line it is used far too many times in this 30-minute episode.
It would have been nice to see at least one or two seasons of Bubsy but all we're stuck with for now is this ancient pilot that's practically impossible to track down.
