Shredder has kidnapped television reporter April O'Neill and the awesome foursome: Leonardo, Michaelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael must kick into gear and defeat Foot Soldiers and some bogus bosses and defeat the evil Shredder.

So now they've gotta save her and deal with Foot Soldiers, Rocksteady, Bebop, Baxter Stockman, Mousers, General Tragg, Krang and Shredder himself! Havoc is being wreaked all around New York, so four teenage mutant green guys are on the job: Leonardo, the leader of the pack with his Katana blades; Michaelangelo, the pizza and fun-loving one with his fast-as-lightning Nunchauks; Donatello, the inventive genius with his giant Bo; Raphael, the hot headed one with his Sais. These four rescue April O'Neil who has been kidnapped by bumbling mutant gangsters Bebop and Rocksteady. The turtles must battle Foot Soldiers and other robotic menaces, then move on to the Hudson river where Shredder, the can-headed menace, has set seven bombs to blow the dam sky high. The turtles must swim under and defuse them. When they return, they find their sensai Master Splinter has been kidnapped, so they jump in their trusty Turtle Van and search for him, and Shredder!
