'Playmate Video Calendar 2001' is a solid title that sticks to a yearly format and delivers plenty of pretty ladies naked. I'll disclose it didn't hit for me as hard as I would have liked it to, but that comes down to a company practice of recycling material and a habit of not choosing the best parts for certain women.
"January" starts with busty Rebecca Scott - Aug 1999 - strutting her stuff in a red plush chair or inside a warehouse as a few closeups bump things up nicely. Unfortunately the follow-up revolving around a lite boy/girl focuses too much on story, worthless shots and allowing Rebecca to sing (5.5 mins). "February" is the Bernaola Twins - Jan 2000 - at a mansion or stepping out of cryogenic chambers, on the dance floor with a crowd. The issue is neither segment has enough constant shots of these Latin beauties naked for my tastes (7 mins). "March" is Brande Roderick - PMotY 2001 - first in wine country that is light on showing her off naked, but you get plenty of her big bright smile. Then it's a number at a mansion as she dips from a fancy white dress. Good full body shots come here, but you'll have to tolerate many shots of the non-nude variety (6 mins).
"April" is Nicole Marie Lenz - Mar 2000 - getting down to nude on a bed or in a bathroom. A second centered around a relationship argument has a bunch of tasty closeups, but perhaps too much setup (7 mins). "May" is Suzanne Stokes - Feb 2000 - who first poses in less and less of her lingerie sitting in a chair or standing nicely. Her second go is a silly boy/girl fantasy that again wants to set things up, but it does get down to a fine bed romp as her body gets felt up (8 mins). "June" is Jennifer Rovero - Jul 1999 - and plays up her Florida roots to begin. Shots of her sans clothes come via a small pool or oranges around her. Then it's a fantasy as she watches a couple having sex and gets turned on. Spicy shot of her putting her hand down her skirt suggestively before she dreamily takes the place of the lady with the dude and poses or gets felt up (6 mins).
"July" is Brooke Richards - Dec 1999 - first in and out of bikinis at the beach on a sunny day. A real delight and it only gets better when oil comes into play and many wonderful closeups of her body. A typical boy/girl scene follows, but I envy the guy getting to cup her tanned boobs and butt (7.5 mins). "August" is Brooke Berry - May 2000 - who gets to equally display her wicked body outdoors and a playful attitude. Playing a clarinet and slipping from a dress indoors is much slower, but still provides delicious views of Brooke (6 mins). "September" is Kristi Cline - Sept 1999 - and has her in and out of sleepwear, pajamas on a white set to begin. Her rolling around a bed seductively is next ending on a silly note (6.5 mins).
"October" is Kimberly Spicer - Jun 1999 - who as a Detroit native plays up cars as she slips out of overalls and looks fantastic doing so. There's a very nice shot of her in the backseat of a vintage car from overhead worth a shout. Her in bed next is pretty standard in most regards and not on the same level though she still looks great (5 mins). "November" is Cara Wakelin - Nov 1999 - as she gets naked in a backyard from a purple dress. Then she's a burglar who gets caught by the homeowner and they get it on in bed (8 mins). "December" is Jodi Ann Paterson - PMotY 2000 - and first comes a touch football game and only intercut shots of her getting wet topless. Then a pampered mansion bit as she's shown waited on, a sensual bath with three "maids" (two which go nude) and then a date with a man that ends in sex. Honestly way too much setup and not enough of the good stuff to justify all the time spent here (11.5 mins).
'2001' might not have been the hottest or most memorable calendar year, but I think most viewers will be pleased. Having saw select pieces before in other titles meant I didn't groove to some months as much as I might have if it had been my first time, but certain pieces are golden.
