Olavum Theeravum is considered a landmark film in Malayalam but it hasn't aged very well in my opinion. While films like Bhargaveenilayam is still relevant, this seems to be more important as a historical point where more realistic story and settings started to be more commercial in Malayalam films and as a point of the start of the so-called art films. The cinematography is definitely the best thing about this film but the film print doesn't do it justice. There are many beautiful frames but the next frame can look like the film negative. Listening to the songs of Baburaj in a theater was a fun experience.
